Troy Kiesecker was raised in and inspired by the canyons of Northeast Oregon along the majestic Grande Ronde River. The nearest town to his family ranch was Troy, Oregon with a whopping 26 year-round residents and a one-room school house. The area is treasured for its spectacular hunting, hiking and fishing opportunities. It is a community of rural people who know the importance of neighbors helpi
ng neighbors; a place where farmers and ranchers work hard to help feed the Nation. An avid outdoorsman, farmer and rancher, Troy roamed the canyon walls learning from nature, farmed the steep ground and worked as a cowhand. Music was a mainstay in his growing years and has continued to be his utmost passion. Troy grew up in a musical family that provided entertainment all across Wallowa County, Oregon and beyond. With his father fiddling and his mother on piano, Troy began to play guitar when he was 8. If he wasn’t outdoors working the ranch or climbing the ridges, he was playing his guitar. A self-taught musician, Troy wrote his first original song when he was 11 years old. His uncanny ability to play bass, rhythm and melody at the same time astonishes people. He is one man with one guitar and all these original songs were recorded as single tracks. Now in his 50’s, Troy is taking a break from working farms and fields to pursue his life-long dream of sharing his music with the world. A soft-spoken humble man, Troy’s desire is to leave his mark on the world through his unique melodic compositions. We hope you are touched by the passion that went into their creation and find joy in listening to his sound.
