Yahaya Bello vs EFCC
From the time that Yahaya Bello impeached his deputy H.E Achuba wfter the panel set-up found him not guilty but the House of Assembly went ahead despite against the law and hacked him out of office and refused to pqqy his renumerstions.
What was his offense ? Because he told thee world that civil servants were been owed over 38 months salaries and no one shouted foul and. The issue has been swept under the carpet .
Now to the present, 2024 the same Yahaya Bello is out of office and the EFCC has 19 water-tight charges against the erstwhile governor and he is busy whipping up sentiments on why he should not answer to the EFCC summons. Despite the anti-graft agency shooting themselves on the foot with the media trials and taking their case to the court of public opinion .
Some cited cases were the payment of $720,000 for school fees in advance , this the school has alluded to and we here that the school has made a refund to the anti-graft agency ( but there is a talking point , because it is against the laws of the land, which traverse thee money laundering act by charging their school fee in a foreign currency and they should answer to that breach; our only currency remains the approved currency for doing business. AISA ( American International School , Abuja) has questions to answer and that is if the EFCC will take up the case .
On the media trial , Does the Efcc chairman, have the powers to grant Yahaya Bello special privileges ?
There was no need for purported call and even granted him entrance through his special entrance , and he said yahaya Bello claimed there was a woman who wants to embarrass him, ( we know its Natasha) !!!
My question : did Olukoye call Bobrisky to grant such privilege ?
My take: Olukoye doesn't want to prosecute Yahaya Bello by going to the media court and has given a cheat sheet on how to get out of the case .
We remember the Governor Mattawalle case with then anti-graft boss of his time , accusing him of asking for money .
Yahaya has a court order to stay his arrest and prosecution , the EFCC has gone to get their order and all courts involved don't have each others order binding on other.
The constitution says that anybody who feels like his right is about to be violated , can approach the court to protect his human right .
So i ask; does EFCC really want to prosecute ?
When it wants to try a high profile cases, must we watch skirts and drama before arrests are made and these individuals are given loopholes to escape .
We know of Fayose ( Efcc i am here ) or Gbenga Daniels, Mattawalle and others .
Is this not a contempt of court by the Efcc ?
