STORY TIME
When I turned 30, I was challenged to set a goal to achieve before my 35th birthday. My goal was to create a feature length documentary that genuinely moved people.

When my brother ran 250km and raised over $50,000 for the Leukaemia foundation, this was a genuinely moving experience for me. So much so, that I have developed a new philosophy about how I aim to live to my life.

This film aims to be a two way mirror. I hope to reflect back to Callan, just how great of an achievement this was and the impact that he has had on the people around him. I also hope the viewers of this film will look through the glass of my experience and witness why this event was truly life changing.

All profits from this event will continue the fundraising effort started by Callan. So if you are free on December 2 and can make it to the Avoca Beach Theatre at 6:30pm, we would love you to be there.

250 REASONS: THE BLOOD RUN - LEUKAEMIA FUNDRAISER FILM

(A note from Callan Gates)

“Our family has been significantly affected by Leukaemia and last year In support of the Leukaemia Foundation we came up with the 250 Reasons Project- Running from Newcastle to Sydney in Australia along the Great North Walk trail in a single push. The trail totalling over 250km in length and 9000m of vertical gain.

The goal was to raise $100 per Km (totalling $25,000) and I’m proud to say that with such epic support from friends, family, strangers and people from all over we raised over $52,000!

In December of this year my legend brother (Mitch Gates) who filmed the whole experience is releasing a feature film in a theatre, below is the trailer for the release.

I am so incredibly proud to share a last name with this guy. You are in the top 1% of people in the world who have run 250kms continuously and the entire time he thanked me and everyone else for our support.
