My name is Nate Compton and I am a sophomore at the University of Missouri studying photojournalism. I am in Columbia MO and Kansas City, depending on the time of year. I offer photography sessions ranging from Portraits (senior and other), Events, Wedding and Engagement, Couples, Families, Fine Art/Conceptual, Modeling Portfolios and anything else you may want. You receive a CD of the edited phot
os with any session and have the option to order prints as well. A portrait session is $150 per location. Other sessions can be discussed on an individual basis. Please feel free to message me to discuss setting up an appointment/session or ask any questions. The given CD contains a small watermark in the corner of the images (nothing too obtrusive) and a signed agreement stating you are allowed to make prints of the images. When ordering prints from me the watermark will be removed. I began photography as a freshman at Shawnee Mission Northwest in 2010. Since then I have been to many National Conventions. I have won seven, first place national awards, one second place and fourth place national awards, and four honorable mentions in national contests. The national awards came from the Columbia National Press Association, the National Scholastic Press Association, the National Federation of Press Women, the Journalism Education Association, Wallsworth Publishing Company, Jostens, and Photographer's Forum Magazine. I have also won various state awards from the Kansas Scholastic Press Association. I was a staff photographer for four years, Sports Photo Editor (a minor editor role) for one year and then became the Newspaper Photo Editor (a major editor role) for my final two years of high school. I have been taking Event and Portrait Photos since 2010. I shot my first Weddings in early 2013. I am there to capture the moment, to steal it away and let it be kept forever. This is what I love to do, and plan to be a photographer for the rest of my life. I am also a designer. This extends from Page Layout Design to Graphic Design. I have various national and state awards for design as well. I offer design services if you need an Announcement Card designed, or really anything else. My designs are generally very photography based.
