Two pilots were killed on Thursday evening when an Indian Air Force MiG-21 jet crashed during a training sortie in Rajasthan's Barmer.
Visuals from the crash site showed the wreckage in flames, scattered in the area.

"A twin seater Mig-21 trainer aircraft of the IAF was airborne for a training sortie from Utarlai air base in Rajasthan this evening. Around 9:10 pm, the aircraft met with an accident near Barmer. Both pilots sustained fatal injuries," the Air Force said in a statement

The windshield of a Delhi-Guwahati Go First aircraft cracked mid-air and the plane had to be diverted to Jaipur, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) officials said.

This comes a day after a Mumbai-Leh Go First flight had to be diverted to Delhi due to a fault in one of its engines.

In another incident, a Srinagar-Delhi flight of the same airline had to return after trouble was detected in one of its engines.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Two more flights from Sri Lanka touched down at Thiruvananthapuram airport for refuelling on Friday, taking the number of such technical landings from the crisis-hit island nation to 101 since May.The stopovers, most of them by the country’s official carrier Sri Lankan Airlines, started after fuel shortage induced by the economic crisis hit refuelling at Colombo airport. The temporary halts have helped Thiruvananthapuram airport earn at least Rs 75 lakh in landing charges. This excludes refuelling charges.
