Troubadour Sedan is in touch with the most intimate side of the music scene. We call it the sound of the ‘small house’ – that personal vibe you get in the classic folk club, the songwriters’ hangout, the music festival sidestage, the house concert, the music conference showcase…
We’ll put you in the best seats in those special places, bringing you Americana in concert, fresh from the source. Trou
badour Sedan is building radio shows, podcasts, downloads and lots of things in between. We’re going to do everything we can to bring you music you’ll like in the way that’s easiest for you to hear it. The individual programs and podcasts will usually consist of the best performances from one live show, lovingly edited to preserve the distinctive qualities of the concert experience. All of the music you’ll hear hasn’t yet been commercially released. It’s coming from a network of music lovers – the private archives of concert producers, journeyman engineers, artists themselves, and dedicated fans like you . . . Meg Griffin and Rita Houston are going to sit with you in the audience and frame the performances with conversation and observations informed by two lifetimes in the music business. They’ll set the stage, paint the mental pictures, give you the facts, and get out of the way. Miles Wilkinson is the executive producer and music director, a guy with forty years of professional recording and producing credits. Since 2004, he’s been dreaming of launching the Troubadour Sedan. He’s been collecting live material for his own personal archive, so we already have more than five hundred concert performances just waiting for you to hear them. Miles will select and remaster all of the other music we acquire, and he’s never satisfied with second-best.
