Deputy Commissioner Samba Reviews Progress of Works

Samba, December 21: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Sh. Rajesh Sharma, convened a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of works undertaken under UT Capex, District Capex, and Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) at DC Office Complex, Samba.

Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Sharma conducted a detailed evaluation of the status of ongoing and completed works, emphasizing adherence to timelines, quality standards, and optimal utilization of funds. He highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts among departments to ensure the successful completion of developmental projects aimed at improving infrastructure, education, healthcare, and livelihood in the district.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers to prioritize works that address the critical needs of the district. He also instructed officials to ensure strict monitoring and regular updates on all developmental activities.

Stressing transparency and accountability, he urged the teams to remain proactive in addressing grievances and engaging with local communities to promote inclusive development making a mention of the ongoing Good Governance Week.

The review was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Samba, Project Officer ICDS, Chief Planning Officer Samba,, Chief Education Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Executive Engineers from various departments and other senior officers of the district.

*JKP SEIZES 2 VEHICLES FOR ILLEGAL MINING*

Samba, December 18: Continuing its drive against illegal mining in district Samba, J&K Police has seized two vehicles in the jurisdiction of Police Station Purmandal which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.

Police team headed by SHO Police Station Purmandal while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area, has seized two tractor trolleys without registration No. which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.

The above mentioned vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal action.

*JKP REUNITES MISSING LADY WITH FAMILY*

Samba, December 16: J&K Police has reunited a missing lady with her family whose missing report was lodged at Police Station Ramgarh district Samba.

On 13.12.2024, a written report was lodged at Police Station Ramgarh by the husband of missing lady namely Jagdish Raj R/O Chak Doulat Tehsil Ramgarh district Samba stating therein that his wife went missing from home. All efforts were made out by the family members but the whereabouts of the missing lady could not be ascertained.

Acting on complaint, a missing report vide DD No. 17 dated 13.12.2024 was entered at Police Station Ramgarh and search started to trace out the said missing lady.

With continuous strenuous efforts, a police team of Police Station Ramgarh has traced out the said missing lady and handed over to her legal heirs after completing all legal formalities.

Accordingly, the said missing report has been closed.

*JKP ORGANIZES ANTI DRUG AWARENESS PROGRAMMES AT GMS SANGWAL & GHSS RAHYA IN VIJAYPUR*

Samba, December 10: J&K Police has organized anti-drug awareness programmes, aiming to sensitize students about the dangers of drug abuse, at Govt Middle School Sangwal and Govt. Higher Secondary School Rahya in the jurisdiction of Vijaypur district Samba which were attended by students, lecturers, teachers and other members of the school management.

The programmes at Govt Middle School Sangwal and Govt. Higher Secondary School Rahya organized under Civic Action Programme (CAP) were presided over by SDPO Vijaypur accompanied by SHO Police Station Vijaypur in which a total of fifteen students had actively participated in the said drug awareness programmes. All the participating students of both the educational institutions were given school bags alongwith stationary items as a token of appreciation for their participation. Moreover, all the remaining students of the GMS Sangwal were also given stationary items.

The Principal of GHSS Rahya and the Headmaster of GMS Sangwal expressed their sincere gratitude to the Police Department for their generous contributions, which significantly enhanced the learning environment for the students. The efforts of J&K Police in promoting awareness about the negative impact of drug abuse were highly appreciated by the school management and attendees.

Vijaypur, The workers of National Conference (NC)block Purmandal constituency Vijaypur arranged a public darwar at Purmandal for the redressal of their problems under the leadership of Rajesh Pargotra.

Hundreds of workers of different villages of block Purmandal attended the darwar. The problems relating to Health Sector, Road connectivity, safe Drinking water, Ration disribution through government Dealer and proper sanitation of sacrosanct Dewak at Purmandal pilgrimage were calculated in the darwar.

District Administration Samba Holds Training foe JKSSB Recruitment Exams

Samba, November 23: The District Administration Samba, led by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Jagdish Singh, today organized a training program at DC Office Complex to ensure the smooth and transparent conduct of the upcoming JKSSB recruitment exams for constables across three categories.

The training session, conducted in collaboration with JKSSB district coordinators, was aimed at sensitising Centre Superintendents (CS), Exam Coordinators (EC), invigilators, and Observers regarding their roles and responsibilities during the OMR-based objective-type exams scheduled for December 1, 8, and 22.

Speaking at the event, ADC Jagdish Singh highlighted the importance of adhering strictly to prescribed procedures and ensuring coordination among all staff to guarantee a fair and efficient examination process.

Key measures for the exams include deploying invigilators alongside Superintendents, Deputy Superintendents, and Supervisors at all examination centers. Furthermore, Magistrates will be appointed at each center to oversee and ensure smooth operations.

The training program was attended by the Chief Education Officer, Sh Keval Krishan and other concerned officials.

अरविन्द घोष स्कूल के 14 बच्चों ने गतका प्रतियोगिता में 14 मेडल लाए ।

विजयपुर:जम्मू के मौलाना आजाद खेल मैदान हाल ही में हुई गतका मार्शल आर्ट प्रतियोगिता अरविन्द घोष हाइ सेकेंडरी स्कूल के 14 बच्चों ने गतका प्रतियोगिता में भाग लिया और स्कूल के बच्चों ने इस प्रतियोगिता में अच्छा प्रदर्शन करते हुए प्राच्यम लहराया । स्कूल के 14 बच्चो ने गोल्ड और सिल्वर ब्राऊन मेडल जीत कर लाए और अपने स्कूल ओर माता पिता का नाम रोशन किया ।
स्कूल प्रबंधक ने भी बच्चो को सम्मानित किया और बच्चो की हौंसला वजहीं की ।

*POLICE WORKED OUT THEFT CASE; ARRESTED 3 ACCUSED, RECOVERED STOLEN PROPERTY WORTH RUPEES 4.5 LAKHS*

Samba, November 20: Police has worked out a theft case registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana district Samba by arresting three accused and recovering stolen property worth rupees 4.5 lakhs approximately from their possession.

On 29-10-2024, a complaint was lodged at Police Station Bari Brahmana regarding theft of KIE wire in the intervening night of 28/29-10-2024 from a godown falling under jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana.

Upon receiving the complaint, a case FIR No. 147/2024 U/S 331(4)/ 305 BNS was registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana and investigation started.

During the course of investigation, special team headed by SHO PS Bari Brahmana was constituted by ASP SDPO Bari Brahmana to work out the said theft case at the earliest. Police team after relentless efforts and meticulous investigation utilizing CCTV footage and other technical aids, successfully apprehended three accused namely Gafoor Mohd S/o Kasmat Ali R/o Pacholi Deon Purmandal, Sahil Hussain S/o Mohd Din R/o Arai tehsil Mandi district Poonch A/P Telli Basti Bari Brahmana and Naushad S/o Mehboob Ali R/o Batoada Budhana Muzzafar Nagar (UP) A/P Telli Basti Bari Brahmana who upon sustained questioning confessed their involvement in the instant case.

Further on the disclosure of said accused, stolen items were recovered. Investigation of the case is still going on.
