Our first home, number 1 out of 7. Absolutely loved this one, the Hotel Hafnarfjall (£140 for the night) We booked a self-contained bungalow on the beach, and we made a quick meal (toastie), before exploring the beach, wandering among the gorgeous lupines and discovering waterfalls, with the stunning backdrop of the majestic Hafnarfjall mountain. We ended an amazing first day with a dip in the hot tub, heated with the natural thermal waters of Iceland 🇮🇸
Chasing waterfalls on our first day in Iceland ....
We visited Hraunfossar and Barnafoss, situated adjacent to one another on the River Hvita.
Possibly the most scary moment of driving in Iceland - through an active lava field which was smoking hot, and the smoke was making it difficult to see the edges of the road. 🔥🔥🔥
We travelled through 7 counties in search of the tallest waterfall in Wales 💚
