How it all began …

Madslips started a bit by chance when Melbourne designer/artist/reggae & dub selecta Satta van Daal was looking for a pair of slipmats for his own turntables in 2009 … the search was unsuccessful, so he decided to create his own mats instead. He designed the ‘Lions’ slipmat and got a bunch of them printed for himself and his mates and fellow reggae DJs in the area.

Motivated by the great feedback Satta went on to publish more designs and to stock them in local record shops. From there the operation steadily grew to become the Madslips label it is today. Since the launch of the online shop in 2013 Madslips is shipping worldwide.
