GIGGLING SQUID HEADS TO LIVERPOOL // 🍱

Restaurant chain Giggling Squid announce a new site will be heading to Liverpool.

The new site will be located on Castle Street, in the grade II building located next to Castle Street Townhouse (currently occupied by Point Blank)

The venue will offer a selection of delicious Thai dishes, with each dish exploring Thailand’s richness of natural ingredients bursting with flavour.

The menu includes starters, nibbles and sharing platters, classic curries, special curries, noodles and stir fries, signature dishes, rice, and sides to share.

With more than 40 outlets across the UK already, the Dallas born chicken chain have displayed signs hinting around the city of its next location.

Wingstop is renowned for its wide selection of chicken items, including wings, boneless pieces and tenders, with an array of flavours available including mango habanero, Brazilian citrus pepper, garlic Parmesan and atomic, along with a range of dips.

Wingstop has remained silent on the launch of its Liverpool store so far, with hints advertised on local recruitment ads online for Liverpool.

WINTER ICE RINK EXPERIENCE HEADS TO BOXPARK THIS WINTER // ❄️

This winter, BOXPARK Liverpool, will open its doors to a new intimate ice rink destination, with ‘IceBox’ – a six-week festive ice-skating pop-up, running from Friday 22 November to Sunday 5 January.

Nestled in the vibrant Baltic Triangle as part of the Cains Brewery estate, just opposite BOXPARK Liverpool, IceBox will be surrounded by enchanting settings, with an intimate backdrop of magical, twinkling Christmas lights. Skaters of all ages and abilities are invited to lace up their skates and glide across the ice whilst embracing the festive spirit.

As the winter holiday approaches, IceBox is the ultimate festive family experience with free skating for kids from ages 3+ (included with adult ticket) and street food included with every booking. CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED PILGRIM WILL REOPEN IN LIVERPOOL THIS WINTER // 🍽️

Pilgrim, the critically acclaimed restaurant from owner Jamie Duffield and chef Jack Williams, will reopen in a new home 121 Allerton Road in 2024.

The restaurant is inspired by Jamie’s 500 mile adventure along the path of the Camino Frances, a section of the Camino de Santiago; a historic pilgrimage dating back to the 9th century which variously takes in Spain, Portugal and France and culminates at the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia.

The small, seasonally focussed menu meanders along the same route, through the far reaches of southern France, mountainous northern Spain and the Basque country and the lush valleys of Portugal’s wine regions.

Pilgrim has found its home in the city’s Allerton district, where the 24 cover restaurant and wine bar will feature an open kitchen. Refillable wine bottles to take out or drink in lend an air of casual intimacy as they aim to become part of the community, as well as a destination for those looking to explore the burgeoning restaurant scene in the city and wider north west.

Guests can expect a short menu which will regularly change; featuring dishes such as Butterfield Mackerel with Guindilla Sauce, redolant of the smoky, fire tinged cuisine of the Basque region as well as Heritage Potatoes, Caramelised Onions and Serra de Estrela cheese from the Eastern mountains of Portugal and Fig Leaf Ice Cream, a continental flavour made from locally sourced fig leaves.
