India started delivering coronavirus vaccines to its neighbors in an attempt to garner goodwill in an often fractious region.

The tiny Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan is receiving the first delivery, Bangladesh and Nepal are expecting deliveries on Thursday. The only neighbor absent from India’s list apart from Pakistan, is China, which had not requested assistance, according to an Indian government official.

India initially will only ship the AstraZeneca vaccine, made by the Serum Institute of India, the world’s biggest vaccine maker, which brands the shot as Covishield. Many low and middle-income countries are relying on India.

The fact check made them do that!!!

Indian media outlets, including India Today and NDTV, have apologized for airing a doctored video of Pakistani analyst and former diplomat Zafar Hilaly, wherein due to editing, he appeared to be supporting Indian claims of hundreds of casualties in the 2018 cross-border aggression by New Delhi.

The video was edited in such a way that Zafar Hilaly, the former Pakistani diplomat, who regularly takes the Pakistan army side in TV debates, was shown going against the zero casualties claim made by Islamabad at that time.

But a fact-check by Alt News found that the comments were misreported. Hilaly also tweeted a video saying his statement was spliced and edited.

Indian TV channel, India Today tweeted,
"CLARIFICATION
It's been brought to our notice that the segment in the video, showing former Pakistani diplomat claim that India killed many in airstrikes, is doctored. It is our responsibility to bring this to the notice of our audience. We regret the error."

Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan has ordered another ancient Orthodox Church that became a mosque and then a popular Istanbul museum to be turned back into a Muslim place of worship.

The decision to transform the Kariye Museum into a mosque came just a month after a similarly controversial conversion for the UNESCO World Heritage-recognised Hagia Sophia.

The 1000-year-old Holy Saviour in Chora was a medieval Byzantine church decorated with 14th-century frescoes of the Last Judgement that remain treasured in the Christian world.

It was originally converted into the Kariye Mosque half a century after the 1453 conquest of Constantinople by the Ottoman Turks.

It became the Kariye Museum after World War II as Turkey pushed ahead with the creation of a more secular new republic out of the ashes of the Ottoman Empire.
