Maple Syrup in the news as one of six commodities expected to go up in price. In addition to syrup, a lot of the equipment used in US maple syrup production is imported from Canada. Tree Juice Maple Syrup

"If I buy goods that are domestically produced in the US, but that are produced using inputs from Canada, the price of those goods is also going to go up," [the economist] added.

Economists warn that the introduction of tariffs could lead to prices rising for consumers on a wide range of products.

Dear Everyone! It finally happened, of course it did. We are having trouble promoting my Sandra Finkenberg exhibition on May 25th because Facebook doesn't like the nudity! Please support us. It will be a fantastic show and right in the middle of Memorial Day Weekend in lovely Margaretville. Sandy's work is gorgeous and she deserves to rake in some cash. So proud to be featured in the Mountain Eagle for hosting the opening show of our figure drawing group in the Upstate Dispatch gallery. Oh my! My little gallery is on a roll and I'm getting praise for my curating skills. Who knew? Not me!

Thanks to Rob Brune for his wonderful reporting. William Duke for starting up the figure drawing group. Gary Mayer for continuing the group for us diehards throughout winter.
