365_oneworld is a publication of German publicist Beate Wedekind, 60, from Berlin, in cooperation with Ethiopian media-entrepreneur Khalid Abdullahi, 34, from Addis Ababa. Both share their passion for ETHIOPIA as a country of CHANCES, CHALLENGES, CHANGES.
365_oneworld focusses on ETHIOPIA as representative of all countries that suffer from clichés and prejudices in the perception of the public. T
he magazine doesn't focus on conflicts and problems - which of course are existing in an emerging country like Ethiopia, a country with a burden of political, cultural and development heritage - but on perspectives, potentials, ways forward, and successes.
365_oneworld will be introduced in March 2012 in Berlin during the International Tourism fair, and will be published in April in Ethiopia and Germany simultaneously.
365_oneworld is written in English and German and contains 364+1 exiting pages. We are proud that most competent authors and the best photographers are contributing to the magazine. Beate Wedekind: "365_oneworld on THE NEW ETHIOPIA is a project close to my heart. I know and love the country and its people since the mid 1970ies. Through my intensive work with Karlheinz and Almaz Böhm's foundation Menschen für Menschen, I was able to obtain an inside look into the challenges, the country is facing especially in the rural areas. Yet, during the past years, I was also able to witness the incredible progress, especially the young generation of educated and well trained Ethiopians is achieving. So, what I want to prove with 365_oneworld is, that ETHIOPIA is ON THE MOVE into the right direction: a liveable future for its great people. Please: Put Ethiopia on your own agenda.
