A meeting will be held at OCC Brewing on Wednesday, February 23rd at 4pm with John Crawford, Parking Manager for the City of Colorado Springs.

This is your chance to ask questions, offer reasonable solutions, and make your voice be heard. I would ask that everyone please refrain from emotional outbursts. We want to present our community in a professional manner and what has mom always said “you get further with honey than vinegar.” It’s true. So, I know we are all upset about the situation, and I have met with John personally to discuss this and topics we have covered:

1. Liability and safety issues with street parking
2. Financial hardships of OCC vs. Downtown business owners
3. Consideration of customers parking / shopping for longer than 3 hours
4. Lack of adequate parking for business owners and/or employees
5. Lack of communication and solutions presented by city

If you have solutions or ideas, please bring them.

Also, PLEASE forward to owners that you think might be affected, I do not have everyone’s email! Thank you!

Old Colorado City Living Magazine | BVM

The 'Old Colorado City Living' magazine will cover the Old Colorado City, Manitou Springs, and Cedar Heights neighborhoods with the focal point being Old Colorado City. It will be distributed to over 3,200 homes, will be free to receive, and directly mailed to each home - no subscription necessary!

This community magazine will be produced through a company called Best Version Media, LLC (BVM) which produces over 900 community magazines around the globe and even produces 12 community magazines just in the Colorado Springs area alone. These magazines always feature a neighborhood family on the cover with a spread about them inside the magazine, articles written by residents and local business owners, neighborhood classifieds, local events list, and MORE!

These magazines are very successful, with a 90% open rate, an 84% read rate, and a 70% keep rate! And on average, folks go through these magazines at least 5 times through out the month.

From now until we go to print, I am offering a 25% discount on ALL packages PLUS if you sign up on the first appointment you will receive an additional 5% off - 30% total!!! But the best part, it is much less expensive than other mail and print advertising- ranging from .02 to .50 cents per house (depending on the advertising package you choose).
