So, here's a question for you all. WHAT DO YOU ACTUALLY WANT? I have just done an experiment where I contacted an "online" VOIP " system seller to "gauge " their costs against mine. Just a LOOK SEE to try and find out what they have on offer, OK? Good Grief my land line and mobile has not stopped ringing the last half an hour! A constant BARRAGE of incoming calls all trying to pressure me into "making a decision" for "Our latest offer due to end in the next few milliseconds"! DO YOU as a customer want that? Or do you want to deal with a local company who can and WILL offer far better service than these "up country sharks"? That type of company will pressure you into buying (on their generous terms lol) a system that they have not surveyed for, they have no idea of your site, they usually without fail offer rubbish after sales service, especially when they have NO engineers in Cornwall and will do anything to avoid sending one to your site etc. So Guys and Gals "What do you want from your telecoms, data and VOIP suppliers? 🤫

Had a local Taxi company phone on Tuesday. Their telephone supplier had left them with nothing working on a telephone system that had "just ended" it's lease period! They were faced with a dammed if I do or dammed if I don't situation. I visited looked like the system had crashed, fitted a refurbished one and within two hours they are all back and working and have bought the refurbished system for less than 6 months rental for the one that mysteriously stopped working . YES they are on IDSN2 lines that BT have been saying are stopping for the last 15 or more years and also pressuring customers to go to voip when at the moment it really is not needed. VOIP is only as good as your broadband.

We have been in foreign parts the last three weekends. Cabling two doctors surgeries for VoIP in Plymouth for a large VoIP supplier. Needless to say all done in time to our high standards as confirmed by the customer.

Had a call from a hotel in mullion late afternoon saying that their phone system was dead after a storm last night. Got over there by 6.30 PM found the fault tested everything and back all working by 7.30 try and beat that for service 🏁🏁 proving yet again that we are the best in our area.

Just a little reminder to make sure when you have a data network installed use good data engineers like us. Dont use tour sparky / electrician. Data and electricians do not mix. We are now sorting out a mess of cat6 cables that were "installed" by a well known electrical company. It's taking longer to sort out than if we installed it properly from the start . Note the brown insulation tape "trying to protect" the cat 6 cables. Lash up comes to mind

It's a comms room tidy up today. Customer has invested lots of money in new POE switches. But first the cat6 cables need tidying up just to get the switches into the cabinet . The first photo is a before and the second photo a during tidy up. There were far too many cables ties and loops of cable taking up usable space in the cabinet. Luckily the cables are long enough to tidy up and re form so that the new switches can be installed.

Sometimes it's the customer who can cause problems :-) Meet Flo she's a 16 week old Puppy and has taken to eating telephone cables from skirting boards. Luckily she's ok but what a little/big star :-) seen here in a "resting pose" probably wondering what mischief to get up to next😀😁

It's been a busy February :-) Quite a few broadband issues sorted for various customers. One phone system removed from a large Nursing home, because it had many faults, so luckily with local knowledge I remembered that customer had a Panasonic system sitting unused in one of their old properties. So shifted it from there to the Nursing Home saving them a fortune. I did have to get some updates to that system but all in working perfectly, one happy company. Plus an update very soon on a "Fix of the Month!" :-)

Quick Fault today that the customer has been fighting for weeks with their broadband supplier. Dreadful broadband speed and noisy line, or course their supplier always said "But you line is testing fine!" Eventually they called me and I was on site within 24 hours. How their line was even working was beyond me. New BT drop wire from pole to the house, but they had left 6 feet of ancient flat twin steel drop wire from outside the house to the main socket! That will not transmit broadband at a decent speed and on just touching it the wires just fell apart. Replaced with new copper lead in and a new main phone point , hey presto , customer now with 8mb dowmload and able to watch Amazon Prime which they have never been able to before! Another very happy customer.

Have had a quick trip to Penzance this morning, an elderly Lady had damaged her main phone point with a hoover. She is reliant on her telephone for broadband and calls especially with this current lockdown situation. So she was very pleased to have contacted me and have her telephone point replaced and working properly again within 2 hours :-)
