Every time I go to Kenya I am speechless of the kindness and joy that everyone exudes. This specific photo sums it up perfectly of how even a small smile can change the course of someone’s life! It also is why I love photography, because I can capture a moment in time and share a story over and over again.

Who knew part of the Amarillo Skyline would be this beautiful?! I usually don’t take a lot of photos with my phone. Because I like the physical attribute of take photos with a camera. However, sometimes my phone is all I have in a moment that needs to be shared. And this was one of those.

I had an idea to work on my editorial portraiture for 4in4 and had to call up a friend to help. Andrew is a great sound engineer here in Amarillo who’s passion of music is inspiring. I am very grateful to have been able to photograph him in his studio and share his passion!

Probably one of the best days for creating I have had in a while! Amboseli National Park is filled with wonderful wildlife and breathtaking views, especially Mount Kilimanjaro! Often times I am always wishing I had a certain camera, lens, drone, or other gadgets to get “THE” shot. To be honest I thought that a lot throughout this day. But also knew I had to work with what I had to create a shot that tells a better story. When going through the photos I was and still am extremely thankful I had the tools I did have. These photos perfectly capture what I saw through my eyes but also envisioned what the day would entail.

WT and CRF pt. 2!

Sharing what we do at one of our schools with student athletes was great. Seeing how they laughed with the kids, played tag and volleyball, and handout milk! I am so grateful to be able to travel with and capture these moments!

I always love it when I get to come back to Kenya! Especially when it is with a group of students who are wanting to give back what they have learned. From visiting schools to building a Rainwater collection system these students gave it their all!
