I bought a pair of KYB SSS forks off a 2018 Yamaha YZ250FX and decided on doing the conversion into my WP Xplor forks on my KTM 500. MJust finished cleaning then completely and now going to rebuild them with all new bushings, SKF seals, Race Tech ultra slick oil, and Technical Touch fork lugs so the twin chamber speed sensitive system with bottoming cones fit perfectly!
All I have to do now is heat the fork lugs up to a million degrees, remove the set screw and unthread the tubes and install the new lugs. Then put the fork back together with oil and done!! I’m so excited to try them and happy I found the YZ250FX model cause they are valved for woods riding!
At first I was going to get the WP 6500 inserts but the guy I bought them from labeled them wrong and they were for Xact forks!! WTF so I sold them and my Gold Valve / mid-valve conversion kit, and now the final decision is KYB’s!! I’ve rode them plenty of times but never on a KTM! Can’t wait!!!

Replacing fork seals on a 2017 Honda CRF250R with Showa Air Forks. I like the idea that you can basically change your spring rate just by adjusting the Psi but having to check the psi every time you ride and the fact that so many riders say they don’t like them makes me prefer to stick with closed cartridge spring and oil systems. These certainly are top quality materials though!
If anyone needs help with their dirt bike, let me know!

Anyone looking for a good running suburban? Runs great and I replaced every seal and gasket I possibly could with a complete gasket and seal kit besides head gaskets and ones that take a ridiculous amount of time. I’ve got almost an identical Yukon that’s newer and don’t need both even though I like this one better. Has good tires and installing new brake pads today.
