Makewild Films is looking for two highly motivated, passionate and creative individuals to join our Venice team immediately. We're bootstrapped, profitable, and have a helluva lot of fun with our work. Our office is also a block from the beach in Venice, providing a great venue for a mid-day swim/surf. Our largest projects at the moment include a feature documentary about surfing in Cuba, completion of a festival short on motorcycling in the Southwest, and pre-pro and production of several commercial and entertainment projects based predominantly on adventure-based travel. ASSISTANT/INTERN:
Primary tasks are assistance with treatments for new commercial work, research for our feature documentary, production assistance and general day-to-day help around the office. Big bonus: you're a top-notch writer, social media strategist, researcher, and/or graphic designer.
ASSISTANT EDITOR:
Primary tasks are assisting with organizing pre-pro for shoots, footage and gear cataloging post-shoot, rough-cuts and assisting lead editor in whatever editing tasks may be required (with or without supervision) Spanish speaking a big bonus.
Great qualifiers for both:
1) You really appreciate adventure, and you're comfortable with constantly changing, sometimes
unpredictable conditions.
2) You’re interested in the specific roles above
3) You're self motivated and highly creative. You love what you (and we) do.
4) You live in LA, preferably on the west side, so you don't have to commute so terribly far.

Compensation: $15/hr + the opportunity to play with our toys for select personal projects (after you earn our trust), and credits on all projects you assist with. Potential for performance bonuses for both roles.
