Vicky & James prepared for their big day at the gorgeous Healey Hall, just a few minutes away from their venue of choice: Healey Barn. It's a beautiful old building full of giant windows and bags of charm - perfect for spending the morning with friends and family before the celebrations really begin! The dramatic misty skies, the romantic sleeves on Vicky's dress and the childhood sweetheart beginnings of their love story made the whole day the perfect fairy tale! To make it even better we went for a walk in the woods for some portraits of just the two of them. The day was filled with fun, singing and so much dancing! We had the best day, thank you, Vicky & James for letting us be a part of it 💜

Tash & Mark tied the knot at Healey Barn, a beautiful venue in Northumberland. As everyone got ready for the day ahead the sun shone on the preparations; the wedding bouquet being looked at for the first time, final touches to hair and make up and making sure ties were tied perfectly. It was dreamy! Once these two lovebirds were married it was time for the drinks reception, one of our favourite parts of the day to capture. This was made all the better by us all being serenaded by the brilliant band Tailor & Co. We're so lucky that we get to listen to live music at weddings! Just before everyone sat down for the feast that Healey Barn provided we took Tash & Mark to the woods for some atmospheric portraits! Absolute superstars they were for climbing over a wooden fence to get to where we were headed. After the feast everyone was relaxed and happy and danced the night away.

We had a magical day with Amy & Will at the ever beautiful Thicket Priory. We arrived to a frozen lake and guests catching up over breakfast - a very good start to the day! We saw a copious amount of confetti (our absolute favourite!) and a very rowdy dancefloor (are we allowed two favourites??). To top all of this off Amy & Will certainly both have a way with words, which we heard at all of the most important parts of their celebrations; from the cards that they exchanged in the morning, their personal vows during the ceremony and their brilliant speeches. It was a joy and a privilege to be able to capture a snapshot of two people's lives that are so perfectly intertwined and who are so deeply in love with each other. Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day.

Sarah & Haris 💜 Our year started off with a super personal and gorgeous wintery day for Sarah & Haris at Thirsk Lodge Barns. Sarah got ready for the celebrations at her parents' home surrounded by her family, which was a joy to capture on camera! Haris started his day off at the venue in the beautiful farm house onsite, featuring some marvelous light dancing around the rooms. The ceremony included Haris's brother playing the piano, singing from Sarah's sister and some amazing readings. We kept a close watch on the sky and we were lucky enough to see a glorious sunset in the depths of winter! The heartfelt, romantic and eloquent speeches were a particular highlight just before a packed dancefloor rounded the day off perfectly. Thank you Sarah & Haris for letting us be a part of your day.

Archie & Rachel REALLY celebrated tying the knot at Charlton Hall in December. Archie started his day off with an early morning dip in the North Sea with some pals. VERY brave! Back at the venue Rachel looked impossibly glam getting ready in her gorgeous robe. Everywhere we looked there was something incredible for us to capture. There were more disco balls than we've ever seen in the same room, a spectacular tassel wall installation that we had to be torn away from, out-of-this-world flowers, indoor pyrotechnics and so, so much more going on. It was sparkly, romantic and fun! What more could we ask for?

We absolutely loved the florals at Catherine & Tom's big day. They were wild and beautiful and seemed to embody everything that we love about autumn. Catherine looked like a film star all day as her beautiful dress swished around her in the gorgeous Thirsk Lodge Barns. Tom's fantastic speech made everyone laugh and cry! We managed to sneak off with these two love birds for a quick first dance practice in the courtyard after dark and then we managed to capture some brilliant moves on the dancefloor. We had the BEST day! Thank you Catherine & Tom!

Sarah & Dan tied the knot in the beautiful threshing hall at Doxford Barns. We particularly loved Sarah's incredible entrance using the stairs! We had dreamy light all day - which shone perfectly on the glorious autumn flowers that we absolutely fell in love with. Sarah & Dan's pooch, Penny, made an appearance just at the exact right time to be taken for a little stroll down the lane. Sparklers would have made for a perfect round up to the evening if it wasn't for the most spectacular firework display that seemed to go on forever - the perfect end to a perfect day!

"The ying to my yang" is how Ant describes his brand new wife, Alex in his speech. These two are absolutely made for each other, childhood sweethearts who have grown up together and their day was fun filled, super personal and perfect for them both. We took the two lovebirds onto the driveway at the magnificent Thicket Priory for some portraits where we were joined by Alex & Ant's pooch, looking dashing in his wedding attire! We saw a whole host of breath-taking hand painted signs, mead on the tables and cake cutting with a sword - what more could you want?? The day was rounded off with people chatting, mingling and dancing the night away.

Against the backdrop of Sneaton Castle we saw the real-life-fairy-tale wedding of Hayley & Ramon. As they were in the final stages of getting ready to tie the knot these two love birds read out each other's letters out loud - a gorgeous moment that really set the tone for the day. The deep red accents dotted throughout perfectly echoed the crimson foliage on the outside of the castle. We heard bilingual speeches, took the newly weds back into the chapel for some dramatically lit dancing and captured Hayley getting a haircut before the first dance! This was all rounded off by an amazingly packed dancefloor. Here's to Hayley & Ramon's happily ever after.

What an amazing time we had with Franziska and Aaron, we knew it was going to be a good day when the first question on their enquiry form was “have you ever done a German-Geordie wedding before?”! It was a day full of Bavarian traditions; both the bride and the bouquet were stolen at one point, sparking negotiations for their return, wonderful speeches and ta bilingual ceremony. The best kind of chaos! We had a magical day with these two who are clearly so very much in love.

We had such a wonderful time for Anna & Kam’s celebrations, from the storytelling shoot we did a week prior, all through to the gorgeous day . Strings, heartfelt speeches and personal vows, purple shoes, a wardrobe malfunction during the bouquet toss, a packed dancefloor, and so much more. It was lovely to shoot with Liam + Bee for the first time!

To try and sum up a whole year of love stories, travelling and adventure, chasing golden light and basking in magic hour, happy tears, first looks, celebratory hugs, conversations and reminiscing, high fives, congratulations, confetti, handshakes, ties-around-heads, laughs, smiles, nervous hands, questionable dancing, bow tie tying, aisle walks and first kisses, is quite tough.

We’re proud of our work this year and how our work has grown, and thankful for each and every one of our couples who have trusted us to capture their celebrations - this really is the best job in the world!
