The Challenge
September 2013 will see Simon King and Hamish Fleming ride 2000 miles over the course of three weeks to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. The idea was conceived when Simon’s dad moved to Malta two years ago, leaving behind his Kona Sutra touring bike. This will now become the power source behind the challenge. Friends from university, Simon & Hamish have always enjoyed a c
hallenge from man-offs to rope swinging competitions. Now they are ready to take the challenge to the next level. The Cause
In the last few years, Simon & Hamish have seen several women close to them beat breast cancer. This was only made possible because of charities such as Breakthrough Breast Cancer, who currently funds 25% of all breast cancer research in the UK. Since opening the Breakthrough Breast Cancer Research Centre in 1999, their teams have made some ground-breaking discoveries – including developing an entirely new type of treatment. The boys have always been breast men, there’s no denying it. So, they are cycling to Malta in honor of breasts all over the world. Please sponsor their mission and help Breakthrough Breast Cancer achieve their aim of a future free from the fear of breast cancer.
