Tomorrow is the First Sunday of Advent. The Lord in the Gospel reminds us to always be ready, for we do not know the day nor the time. May we learn to live the grace of the present moment; so that our memories may be good ones, and our visions and dreams, truly filled with hope. HAVE A BLESSED ADVENT SEASON EVERYBODY! You and your families are in my prayers. Please remember me in yours.

FAMILY ADVENT WREATH BLESSING

Perhaps you would like to begin a wonderful tradition in your family by setting up and blessing your very own Advent Wreath. I'm sure most have their Christmas trees up by now, but observing and celebrating the Season of Advent, will make your Christmas as a family even more deep and meaningful. If you can't get three purple candles and a pink or rose one, get four candles of any color (though white would be best, though I've seen some use red) and some purple and pink (rose) ribbon. Make a simple wreath out of any materials you'd normally use to make Christmas garlands and set the four candles. Tie purple ribbons around three candles, and the rose ribbon around one. You can use these prayers below. It would be a great tradition to start in your family (if you haven't done that yet), and it will make everyone's preparation for Christmas even more meaningful.
