You don't see that everyday! Three Chevy Cosworth Vegas accompanied by the "Vega 444" - a car with a very special story.
It was an absolute pleasure to shoot for an episode of the upcoming season of Chasing Classic Cars with this passionate group of enthusiasts from the Northeast chapter of the Cosworth Vega Owners Association - including three generations of car lovers!

👀 Look who who popped in for a spot of ☕️? We chased down Wayne Carini, bringing elegance to the drive-thru in this stately 1959 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud I Drophead Coupe. With coachwork by H.J. Mulliner and showing less than 39,000 miles on the odometer, this ultra rare two-door beauty is one of only 11 left hand drive units ever produced 😲! What's your drive-thu go-to?

In 2006 automotive historian, raconteur and sharp-dressed-man Donald Osborne wrote a newspaper article about falling in love with a car for the first time and the lengths one man went to chase his first love down 38 years after laying eyes on it. The man was Wayne Carini, and just days after reading the article Crashing Wave Entertainment founder and story-hunter, Jim Astrausky, was hot on a chase himself, tracking down Wayne and convincing him to let us pull out a camera and start shooting the first afternoon they met and Chasing Classic Cars was born! Now Donald has set his sights on redefining the concours d'elegance with his latest master-work, the Audrain Newport Concours & Motor Week - running September 30 - October 3. We'll be there filming new episodes of CCC and to see what all the excitement is about. We hope you'll be there too!

Awesome day of filming Chasing Classic Cars on the track at Lime Rock Park yesterday with this 1938 SS Jaguar 100, formerly owned by NBC's first Today Show host, Dave Garroway, who enjoyed racing the car on multiple tracks, including here at LRP. His modifications included a more powerful 3.8L Jaguar engine and a va-va-voom alligator interior (DW the restoration features simulated alligator hide).⁣

Wayne purchased the car a few years ago after seeing it at the Greenwich Concours d'Elegance and immediately drove it at the Grand Ascent at the The Elegance at Hershey. Back at F40 Motorsports, a simple fix slowly turned into a full restoration, remaining true to the way Dave Garroway had raced the car. We were fortunate to be there to capture the car's return to Lime Rock yesterday and can't wait for you to see it perform on the track in the new season of CCC - filming now! Bonus? We finished filming five minutes ahead of schedule = !

Such a stellar day yesterday filming a new episode of Chasing Classic Cars with the legendary 1951 Hirohata Mercury!

Originally commissioned in 1952 by Masato “Bob” Hirohata and customized by George and Sam Barris of Barris Kustom, this iconic car is considered by many to be one of the world’s most noted and highly regarded custom cars to this day. We can’t wait to share its story with you.
