Telugu Gadda

Telugu Gadda Telugu Gadda, an online magazine is an effort to revive the telugu weekly edition started in 1969. We have copies of three issues of Telugugadda.

“Telugu Gadda” was started as a Telangana weekly, during the time of Diwali in 1969 by Late Mamidi Ramakantha Rao, He was editor and publisher for this weekly. He was a staunch advocate of Telangana cause, that he dedicated his writing career all through. He traveled extensively in Maharashtra and Telangana region during the movement for separate Telangana. His colleagues used to publish a cyclost

yled magazine from Bhivandi. It was published for several years and was in support of Telangana cause. Those interested in media during the 1969 Telangana movement may find these archives of interest. We shall post more of his writings as we succeed in collecting his writings which include Janajeevana weekly from Warangal around 1960, translations of Ghalib’s ghazals into Telugu, short stories, poetry, literary criticism, etc
