It might look easy hunting, but don’t get me wrong, these birds have a sharp vision and become super careful at this time of year. One thing is to spot them but to sneak close enough for the precise shot is a whole other story.

The PIRARUCU is live now!

Pirarucu, is the first and only exclusive fly-fishing only project allowed and supported by Brazilian Government with focus on Arapaima. Environmental Officials worked together with the local Association to create these very first official sport fishing operations in Brazil.
We fish in a unique Arapaima environment, perhaps the last and biggest reserve in the planet for this fish.
Project Arapaima will keep this fishery protected for generations and will help local communities to move forward in a sustainable activity.

PIRARUCU offisial trailer

A few months ago, with our buddy Helmut Zaderer - flyfish adventures and Jako Lucas, we were lucky enough to travel to the Amazon jungle, where we shot a cool mini-documentary about fishing for giant arapaima on the fly.
The film was selected for the RISE Fly Fishing Film Festival and soon will be screened in theatres around Europe.

Last year, just before Covid19 lockdown with our friend Helmut we had an opportunity to travel to wild Cameroon.
It was a new operation organized by African Waters for Nile perch fishing in the Faro river. The fact that we had to fish at night surrounded by wild animals and share pools with hippos and crocs made this fishing very unique. But all of that in our new film "FARO."
Huge thanks to Helmut Zaderer - flyfish adventures, who made this film possible.
