“But when the kindness of God our Saviour, and his love toward man, appeared, not by works done in righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,” (Titus 3:4-5)
How often have we accepted lies of deception and believed we had to work to be loved, accepted and valued? And, when we had done all we could, lost hope? That was a deep rooted deception in my belief system. And, although I received Jesus as my Savior after I heard the Truth- that He took all my sins on the Cross and paid for those sins so I did have to- I continued to believe the lie and continued in works for years. It was only when I began to read the Bible, understand Truth and live it that freedom came.
God is kind. God is Love. He knew we could never “work” enough to earn salvation. It was in His mercy that He saved us. And, as we renew our minds with the Word of God, as we pursue fellowship and relationship with our Heavenly Father and Jesus our Lord, all those lies are unraveled. Then, Holy Spirit will weave a new and beautiful tapestry with our lives.
Regardless of who you are, what you’ve done, or how you have lived, all your sins are forgiven. Jesus paid the price for you. As you received this gift of mercy, grace and love, by faith in what Jesus has accomplished, you become a child of God. You can live free from guilt, condemnation, deception, hurt and pain. You can live in the freedom and liberty of Christ Jesus!
"But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved).. (Eph 2:4-5
"Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, all your mind, and with all your strength" (Mark 12:30)
