Robinson Film Awards International Independent Film Festival. Annual Live Event/Screening. Monthly Awards/Qualifications. We accept all kind of short films.

Robinson Film Awards (RFA) International Monthly Film Festival is IMDb Qualifying Film Festival with live screening in Italy (https://www.imdb.com/event/ev0028948/). Our independent film festival will be online and live, with one day of screening for annual winners! Each 2 months our judges, watch, review and rate the submitted films. The Best Films announced as the winner of the month. Official S

elected movies receive an official laurel and the monthly winners an official digital certificate. All the selected movies will be scheduled and posted on our website and social pages! The jury is composed by award winning filmmakers, actors and journalists. RFA gives an opportunity for each filmmaker to find their shortcut to fame and recognition. You won’t have to wait for a professional assessment for the whole year: we announce the winners every 2 months. The monthly winners are automatically nominated to be our annual winners.

An interview with the filmmaker Riya Agarwal.

Riya Agarwal is a recent graduate from the MFA Graduate Film program at the Tisch School of the Arts, NYU. Previously, she has assisted award-winning directors like Anurag Kashyap (Raman Raghav 2.0 – Cannes Directors’ Fortnight 2016), Nandita Das (Manto – Cannes Un Certain Regard 2018), and Oscar- nominated director Ashvin Kumar (No Fathers in Kashmir). Her music video, Yeh Duniya, premiered at the New York Indian Film Festival in 2014. Her latest short film, If You Show Me Yours I’ll Show You Mine, is in Post-Production. She is currently working as an Associate Producer on two feature films in development – Wager$, which is produced by Sway Bhatia (Succession, Mighty Ducks, Zombies 4), and QLC, which is written by Marnie B. (daughter of screenwriter Paul Bernbaum). She is also a part of the screening committee for film festivals such as Woodstock Film Festival, Atlanta Film Festival, and BendFilm Festival, amongst others.

Currently working as a corrections officer in Connecticut, Laghari brings a wealth of experience from his time in the military, coupled with his academic background in political science and government. As a U.S. Army veteran, he possesses a profound understanding of global affairs, security, and human rights. His experiences have shaped his perspective, giving him unique insights into the complexities and challenges of international relations and the human condition.

Meet the Judges 🎬 With more than 20 years of experience in Film and Entertainment Imdustry, Rod Saez is a cornerstone in the beginning of Entertainment Business in Chile, having worked on music videos for renowned bands such as Faith No More, Soul Asylum, E-MEN, Therion, Kreator, and Lacrimosa, among others. He has also been instrumental in promoting independent cinema through various film festivals that are known for showcasing talented filmmakers.

In 2016, Rod Sáez and Soledad Cáceres founded Cintamani Films, an independent cinema agency that has produced many captivating films in Chile and co-produced several globally recognized productions. In fact, three of the films distributed by Cintamani and two of the films co-produced by Soledad and Rod were shortlisted for the Academy Awards in October 2021. Same situation repeated 2022.
Rod works with over 100 filmmakers from all over the orb, featuring Hank Levine, José Guerrero, Felipe Cataldo, Maria Gisele Royo, Volter Bertelmann, Wai Kaltenegger, Vito García, Abel mekasha, etc. Taking care of different steps of production, from Project developement to sound design, production and sales representation.
With COP International, John Fryer (4AD), Bill Gould (Faith No More), he gathered musicians from all over the world to record a song for Unicef and The Children of War, featuring memmbers of Basement Jaxx, Ministry, Morrissey, Rammstein, Fear, Stabbing westwards, E-men, etc,
The single made over 100.000 dollars for Childen of War.
Rod produced the soundtrack of El Niño del plomo by Daniel Davila, with John Fryer and the band Luna in Caelo.
Also is involved in the production of the band Vortex, with Fryer again.

Recently Rod directed his first short film in over 30 years.
