One of the fascinating (and yet frustrating) things about overly religious folks is the steadfast belief that books (albeit it holy) written by men are infallible and above critique.
Where do my people really think these books came from?
Is there some belief that, in days gone by, God delivered complete works to man? Even if that were the case, with all the different versions, translations and reprints, how can anyone with a God given brain still believe that every single word in said books is true and the original word?
All "holy books" are part history, part metaphor, part drama and must be interpreted allegorically, not literally. Who hasn't told a story and added some spice? I know I have and aren't we ALL children of God?
Don't mind me, just here thinking...
Have a great weekend!

So much confusion in the land. Many people won't get the irony of this video. Telling a Nigerian (or any other African) to say Assalamu Alaikum to prove they are African is laughable.
Arabic is NOT African.
Assalamu Alaikum is NOT African.
No greeting that was brought to the continent by invaders and former slave masters is African.
Assalamu Alaikum is a religious greeting and that's okay.
Worship whom and how you want, but don't confuse it with being African.
This is not an attack on Islam, so Christians, don't jump in here with anti-Islamic sentiments. Christians are just as confused when it comes to what is African & what is biblical.
Abrahamic religions have confused, derailed, oppressed and even impoverished many of us.
African culture is beautiful.
How you choose to worship is your right.
Let's not confuse the two.

Aisha Yesufu @aishayesufu with a message for Nigerians about the Presidential elections. We must remember that the real POWER is in the hands of the PEOPLE. This is not time to be depressed, it is time to take action. It doesn't matter whether or not you support Peter Obi, you should support what is right. Anyone who supports this BS INEC is trying to pull is an enemy of Africa, not just Nigeria. This is not about party, tribe or religion, it is about the future of our children. Africa & Nigeria will rise again! #afrikanbanter #africanempowerment #nigeria #nigeriadecides2023 #nigerian #peterobi #peterobi4president2023 #inec #inecnigeria #lagos #abuja
