My sister and soon-to-be BIL came to meet our new baby a few weeks ago and of course I had to grab the opportunity to sneak outside for a few minutes at just a week postpartum to get some ADORABLE engagement shots for them. SO looking forward to photographing their wedding in a few short weeks!

This is why I’ve been so quiet and had to put photography on the back burner temporarily. I’d say it’s worth it though. 🥰
Our perfect little man arrived 8 days ago. When I say perfect, I mean it. He’s the most chill, healthy little guy. Welcome to the world sweet Josiah!

I’ll be enjoying newborn snuggles for awhile and then I hope to get back into doing a few photoshoots & weddings again. So holler if you’d like to get something booked in the coming months. 🙌

Summer is here and that means so are creek photo sessions! This little shoot with Allison Yoder to celebrate my newest nephew arriving soon was so much fun! I may have looked ridiculous trying to squat down in the creek with my own huge belly in the way trying to get these photos, but I LOVE how they turned out!

If anyone wants to get in on a family (or maternity!) session in the next few weeks before we welcome our own new little one, let me know!

It's been a hot minute since I've posted any of my work. Life with 3 littles and another on the way, plus helping my husband run his business, and run a farm has forced me to push photography further to the back burner for a season.

It was SO wonderful to be able to pull out the camera again this past week and do this fun little session with Abigail Lee Hackel and her precious boys!

I'm definitely still up for doing photo shoots for clients, I just haven't advertised anything because it is a busier season for me. We recently moved and have MANY BEAUTIFUL photo ops at our new property. If all this fresh Spring greenery is giving you the photo urge like it is me, and you're willing to drive to my farm, I'd love to get you and your family some fresh family photos as well!

My sister is getting MARRIED!! ❤🥰❤🥰. I know I'm biased but this is the MOST special photoshoot ever as I got to do my own sister's ENGAGEMENT pictures last weekend!! We LOVE Tony so very much and cannot wait to welcome him into our family next month!!

Julie and I played wedding together all the time when we were growing up and were always eachother's bridesmaids. Little did I know back then that I would be photographing weddings when her "real" wedding day arrived. I'm so honored that she not only asked me to be her bridesmaid but also the photographer for their big day. We're making a new name for my role in the wedding. I'm officially going to be their "modified bridesmaid/photographer" 🤣

I know you're not supposed to pick favorites, but this maternity session goes down as my most favorite to date! I absolutely CANNOT believe how BEAUTIFUL it turned out! I've wanted to do a waterfall session for a long time and yesterday that dream finally became a reality. This incredible mama hiked 3/4 mile down MANY steps and over even more rocks and tree roots and then back up again at 38 weeks pregnant for her maternity pictures. Cannot wait to meet your newest little man sooo soon, Christina Garrett! 🥰

Puppies are most definitely my most difficult clients but for the 00.2 seconds they sit still they are absolutely ADORABLE clients! So excited for these photos to be featured in the Nashville Golf Magazine for our friends over at BrewerDoodles!

I have a few spots open for photos at this beautiful river location on Saturday August 19th. Perfect for family, maternity or breastfeeding photos...or really any kind. It's a breathtaking location!

My first sessions back behind the camera since being on maternity leave were absolutely stunning!!

It was a beautifully hazy evening with these lovely rolling TN hills at the Holcomb Farm as the backdrop and the Leones family made their session so much fun! Their family is visiting from S. Korea and I was so honored they asked me to capture their beautiful family during their visit!

I LOVE being a SAHM and am oh so grateful for my sweet new baby and two beautiful girls, but man it was nice to be back behind the camera again! Creating special keepsake images for my clients seriously gives me so much joy!! I LOVE it! 🥰

Calling all breastfeeding or expecting mamas! I offered these river breastfeeding/maternity shoots last Summer and they were such a HUGE hit that I wanted to offer them again. I use a beautiful river spot off the Natchez Trace for these sessions.

My oldest had her annual ballet recital today and absolutely did an incredible job! This is her third year and it's amazing how much she has blossomed and learned in those three years! We LOVE her teacher Mrs. Kelly Grace Hollis and her passion for teaching the children that they are dancing for the Lord.

Naturally, I had to break out the camera and do a little photoshoot when we got home this afternoon. I don't have a studio (YET) but not bad for a quick backdrop tape up job in our (very messy postpartum) bedroom. 🤣

I’ve been waiting and praying a looonng time to be able to take pictures of my OWN newborn! That day finally arrived a few days ago and I could not be more in love!

Introducing Nathanael Benjamin Rose born with an amazing but fast and furious home birth.
Our rainbow after 3 back to back losses. 🌈
His name means “God has given” and given has He indeed!

We did not find out his gender ahead of time and would have truly been happy with either boy or girl. But having a boy is just the icing on our cake and I feel like an extra bonus gift after our long journey to get here.

If you’re an Angel 👼 mama still praying and waiting for your 🌈 know that God does see you and He makes everything beautiful in His time. A year ago right now I was still waiting to pass our last Angel baby who we had learned a week prior no longer had a heartbeat. Now a year later I am snuggling the most perfect newborn. 😭😭. Truly humbled and grateful!

Squeezing in just a few more family sessions before our baby arrives. 🥰 The Harlow/Wilkerson family absolutely nailed their coordinating outfits for their session this past weekend and were so much fun to work with! We got a beautiful Spring day right after the tornado missed the park we did this session at by a few hundred yards.

The Barn at Haywood Creek, LLC was the perfect venue for Benjamin & Hannah's early Spring wedding! A late-season cold snap caught us all off-guard with nearly freezing temps but that didn't slow anybody down from enjoying this beautiful wedding!

My last wedding to shoot before baby makes his or her arrival but rest assured I WILL be back after a short maternity leave. I'll be booking weddings and portrait sessions again starting in late July.

When posing my clients the first thing I always tell them is just to relax in front of the camera and be themselves and that will result in the best photos. It's definitely easier said than done but Christian and Madyson absolutely nailed that during their engagement session this past weekend! 🥰 You'd never know it was absolutely FRIGID cold, too, they hid it so well!

Gear check time. Engagement session this afternoon and shooting my last wedding tomorrow before going on "maternity leave". Baby makes his or her arrival in 8-9 weeks. 😍 I'll be back to scheduling clients in July.
