What an eye-opener. đ
Being neither an economist nor very well versed in any matters that affect a global populous.
Reading this has given me a real sense of perspective. If youâre a man in business at the moment and you believe that scientifically, physically, biologically or any other illogical statement that âwomen are an inferior species to menâ - read this book. It covers all the angles a misogynist may counter an argument with.
A quote that brings some of the eye-watering statistics into focus:
âThe damage the pay gap does to Britain's economy is considerable.
British women lose ÂŁ140 billion a year in pay due to the gender gap,
an average of ÂŁ9,112 (about US$12,000) a year per person. And Britain sacrifices about âŹ123 billion a year because of lost productivity associated with unequal compensation.â
I urge everyone to pick up a copy of this. Weâre all missing a trick. Every piece of information from Linda Scott is backed up with first hand accounts and real/present data.
Disclaimer: On reflection I have contributed in the past towards sexist behaviour and Iâll own that.
Nevertheless, Iâm glad I have the opportunity to educate myself further đ I'm now equipped.

I finally finished Blah! Blah! Blah!
âThis book is a rambling journey through Dave's diverse career. Littered with
stupid points of view, ridiculous rants, a few bits of art and other stories, this is
part memoir, part business book, for anyone who hates the status quo but wants
to work hard, make brilliant work and be happy doing it.â
A fascinating read! A ramble indeed, but one thatâs full of weird and interesting stories thatâll make you laugh. Especially if you hate Arsenal and also loath Michael BubblĂŠ!
I also now don't feel so bad when people ask me âwhats good in digital design at the moment?â and I say ânot much reallyâ.
