This is our first time listening to Guy Wachtel's productions, and the 'Nulla Anima' release on Glitchpulse is an incredible introduction to his experimental works that pack a punch. It's gratifying to see IDMf Netlabel supporting upcoming artists and this style. This release is a rare gem in the glitch genre, staying true to its core while maintaining a solid foundation. The tracks are rich with blips and bleeps, enhanced by masterful granular effects applied to rhythms and drums.

The EP evokes vibes similar to those of Richard Devine, with subtle bass stabs interspersed within the unique compositions that constantly keep you guessing. Each track on 'Nulla Anima' showcases Wachtel's deft manipulation of sound, creating a listening experience that is both intricate and immersive.

The EP serves as a perfect teaser, an ideal introduction to a more modern day glitch genre at its finest. The captivating textures and evolving soundscapes leave you eager for more. Thanks to Igloo Magazine for the tag on this; we might never have discovered this gem without their spotlight.

The concept behind the track "sleepHatch" on Errorbalm Vol.1, was to craft a melody with bizarre tones evolving from a single note, this track was produced during the twilight hours of 2 AM to 3 AM only. This specific timeframe infused the track with its unique, hypnotic, and soothing yet subtly unsettling ambiance. Initially, the track's variations took a serendipitous turn, beginning with simple piano keys and progressively transforming into an organic soundscape, intricately woven with glitch elements.

It represents an auditory exploration of the sensation experienced at the cusp of sleep – that delicate balance between wakefulness and slumber, where comfort mingles with a touch of uncertainty. This early version of the track emphasizes minimalist glitch percussion, featuring a high-pitched snare that punctuates the ethereal piano keys and tones, creating a captivating blend of subtlety and disturbance. The goal was to evoke a feeling, capturing the fleeting moments just before sleep envelops the listener.

The degree of abstraction in ±vMcÇ's work is astounding. Warped glitches and breaks splatter across the terrain, gathering heavily processed found sounds, braindance components, and arcane rhythms into a disorganized muddle.

Our friend Hexalyne who has been consistently featured in our Errormatic compilations just released something on Satellite Era.

Clean Error loves and supports IDM releases like this one, this compilation is a testament to the record label's commitment to pushing the boundaries of (IDM) and showcasing the diverse talents within its unique roster. This compilation stands as a monumental addition to the IDM and abstract electronic music scenes, rivaling the impact of their previous standout release (to us), which would be the 'Futurist' EP "A Mosaic Of Time." With "Distant Arrays Volume 07," Satellite Era not only pays homage to the golden era of late '90s IDM but also propels the genre into new territories with an eclectic mix of tracks that are both nostalgic and pioneering.

Ton Mise's contribution, "Ait6 U1," is a journey through meticulously crafted soundscapes, blending a catchy melody with complex rhythms and masterful glitch transitions that evoke a profound sense of the IDM's golden era while providing a fresh auditory experience. Our friend Hexalyne releases an ep out on Point Source Electronic Arts titled "Exivvaves". What sets "Exivvaves" apart is its ability to evolve, particularly noticeable in the Part B sections of the tracks.
