Salome is a finalist in Sinag Maynila this year. In the film, a 19th century woman named Salome whose identity has been shrouded in myth and legend becomes the center of a cult that has polarized a community. Like a jigsaw puzzle, a town pieces together myth, memory and aspirations to know the woman that has captured everyone’s imagination.

It stars Perry Dizon, RAM Botero, Tommy Alejandrino and Miss Dolly de Leon. Directed by Teng Mangansakan. A Reckless Natarajan Pictures production.

Topografia has been nominated in the 33rd Young Critics Circle of the Philippines Citations for Achievement in Film. The nominations include best film, best screenplay, best cinematography and visual design, and best performance.

Set on the eve of a fictional inaugural of the Bangsamoro Government, the film revolves around Daud (Felix Roco), a scion of a political dynasty who is reluctant to become a member of the Parliament, and his college buddy Marco (Jess Mendoza), a struggling journalist assigned to cover the inaugural. The duo drive off to the countryside, reminiscing their days as student activists and discovering their deepest longings as hostages of a future they will inherit.

Gold Coast, Australia: Winners in the 14th Asia Pacific Screen Awards were announced tonight with Drive My Car announced as Best Feature Film, awarded to director Ryusuke Hamaguchi and producer Teruhisa Yamamoto, with the film also winning Best Screenplay for Ryusuke Hamaguchi and Oe Takamasa.
