Jondo Flamenco aims to enrich its immediate communities and provide a platform for local and international flamenco artist to showcase their art to a captive and appreciative audience while creating opportunities for new pathways to be explored and discovered while maintaining the authenticity of the genre and remaining true to the fundamental elements that define this unique art form.
Jondo Flamenco is a production series dedicated to the promotion of the art of flamenco in the Bay Area, CA. It was founded and established by Pirouz Ebadypour aka Pirouz de Caspio in 2021 and in some ways it is the continuation of his legacy of having founded a large flamenco festival in Vancouver, Canada called "Annual International Jondo Flamenco Festival", which started its productions in 2003 and ended in 2015.
During the course of these 10 years, he developed many arts partnerships with prominent Canadian establishments and organizations. Some of these organizations included the Simon Fraser University's Woodwards Center for the Arts, the Georgia Straight, the Vancouver Asian Heritage Month Society, the Chan Center for the Arts, CTV, CityTV's Breakfast Television, OMNI Television, and CBC Radio Canada to name a few.
Festival productions stopped after he migrated to Northern California and became a member of the flamenco community of the Bay Area as a singer with a passion for composition of original songs for which he also plays the guitar to accompany his singing. Jondo Flamenco series is the newly revived, smaller version of his productions in Canada.
