As the fashion world shifts its focus towards wearability and longevity of style, the upcoming Fall/Winter 2024 season introduces a wealth of inspiration, emphasising timeless elements over fleeting microtrends and statement pieces.

From February to March, major style capitals witnessed a mix of sartorial splendor and cultural antics, with memorable moments like ’s exclusive phone-free show and ’s innovative bag made of 99 per cent air.

📌Across collections, leather accents, furry pieces, midi lengths and long coats emerge as key trends, promising a blend of sophistication and effortlessness, introducing fresh pairings and redefining cold-weather staples like hats and coats with luxe textures and unconventional shapes.

📌 The international fashion week brought, in particular, a revival of leather and fur, materials that have somewhat been overlooked in recent seasons.

📌 Fur, whether synthetic or natural, took the spotlight in shows by , , and , adorning coats and jackets, while leather emerged as a favourite, notably in deep black at ’s New York debut, and .

The latest season sees two techniques in particular stand out from the rest —

The printed fringe they used on floral shirts that gave the individual blooms a shifting depth.

Peter Hawkings takes over the reigns as the newly appointed Creative Director at the label, which Ford and his partner Domenico de Sole sold to the Estée Lauder Companies in April. The result is gonourous, sexy, elegant and defined by beauty — codes put out by Ford himself.

We see sheer and see through fabrics and fabric treatments come to the forefront yet again this season; coupled with A LOT of gold ✨

Cheeky micro shorts make an appearance here as well, with slits and low necklines taking centre stage.

This season is all about experimenting with knits and sheets, and adding a tough of glam while doing so.

Vivid motifs borrowed from diverse wildlife and flora and fauna come alive with 3D embellishments, thread work embroidery and sequins detailing.

The designer has gone deeper with his passion for the exploration of surfaces in a way that ‘assumes if an embroiderer would really envision the adda (embroidery frame) turning into a lotus pond and if there is an instance when they feel themselves in the Sundarbans amidst its virgin forest, caressing a majestic tiger.’
