The show was then titled "The Mario Cooks Show" and was created and hosted by Chef Mario Porreca and radio/internet personality Bill Alexander. The show was a standard talk radio format about food and cooking with general talk sprinkled in from Mario and Bill bantering. On December 1, 2012 The Mario Cooks Show hit terrestrial radio airwaves for the first time with Mario and Bill hosting the show o
n WMBS Radio 590 AM while still continuing to upload the show as a podcast. Due to extensive listener feedback, and some good fortune, Mario and Bill unveiled the show as "Just Cook It Radio" on June 1, 2013. The most notable date, so far, in Just Cook It Radio history came on November 2, 2013. On previous episodes Bill Alexander mentioned a food that Mario had up until that point never tried - Kraft Spaghetti. Mario told Bill that if he found some they would cook it live on the show. November 2nd is the date that it all began - the date that Mario and Bill cooked the first of many dishes on live radio. From that date forward Just Cook It Radio has become a pioneer cooking show which airs on the radio and in podcast form. The recipe Mario makes on each episode is uploaded to JustCookIt.net just before the show goes on the air live. Live photo and video look-ins are available at JustCookIt.net and also on the Just Cook It Radio Instagram page. On June 14, 2014 Bill Alexander decided to step away from the microphone and reprise a behind the scenes only role. Mario continued to discover fun new creations with food and drink, interview interesting special guests, and prepare some of your favorite dishes live on air on Just Cook It Radio. On April 4, 2015 the final episode of Just Cook It Radio hit the airwaves. The show didn’t end though, it continues as “The Mario Show” hosted by Mario Porreca every Saturday at 9:00 AM EST.
