Monday morning our gas got turned off. Heat wise that’s not an issue 🥵, since it’s extremely hot this week. What’s an issue is no hot water.

It was the girls bath night, but I figured we could postpone until the next day. Kennedy insisted on having a bath, so we used the kettle to get some hot water for her bath.

Keera and I washed some dishes by hand, using a big pot to boil some water.

Tuesday morning the gas got turned back on, and I tried having a shower but the water was ice cold. 🥶 So I had a tiny bath, using the kettle to heat the water. Just enough to wash everything but my hair.

We tried lighting the pilot light on the hot water tank yet again but it wasn’t working.. We reached out to the management company and waited for them to reach back out to us.

Keera and I washed some more dishes by hand, boiling the water on the stove. Took about 3 pots of boiling water to finish most of the dishes up.

Wednesday evening the management company reached out saying they’d assigned a vendor.

Shortly after 5pm, Sam the plumber reach out via text. Making plans to come bright and early at 7am Thursday morning.

This morning he showed up and told me that the igniter was broken. He contacted the management company, who then had to reach out to the landlord to find out if they wanted to fix the igniter or just replace the hot water tank.

The plumber told me the hot water tank is 20 years old, and that sometimes fixing the igniter doesn’t work. Which is why he highly recommended to the management/landlord that they replace the hot water tank.

He had other appointments, so he said he’d reach out to me later on in the afternoon when he heard back from the management company.

By 10am Sam sends me a text saying the homeowners decided on a new hot water tank and if it works out he’ll be by around 1pm.

Sam and his coworker show up to replace the hot water tank at 1pm, and they got to work. By 2pm they were heading on their way out. 3pm we had hot water again. 🥳🥳

Today we organized the pantry a bit. There’s still so much to do, but at least now I know what we’ve got.

The boys hung out. We played some Fortnite. Kennedy made a “tower.”

We had “spicy” lasagna for supper, along with broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots.

Tonight we had some sour skittles. The kids “dared” me to have multiple at once, hence my “crying” face. 🤣

Day 1 of decluttering started today. We have to move again in a few months, so I decided to purge some books. I went through one of our bookshelves and made three piles; keep, donate, trash.

The books I decided to keep were put on this rolling cart. I’ll be selling the bookshelf, and the rest of the books in the box are going to be donated or sold.

Life update;

• On Sunday, little Miss Kennedy had a birthday! It was a Toy Story theme with a Five Nights at Freddy’s birthday cake. We had breakfast/brunch at Denny’s. Everyone had their choice of foods. ☺️ Then later on we celebrated with cake and presents.

• Monday two kiddos had eye appointments in the morning. Zaden is getting screen glasses for when he’s on screens. He picked out a nice black/greyish pair. Emilee has an update on her prescription, and picked out a purple pair of glasses.

We met up with our school facilitator in the afternoon, and did our year end meeting.

Then the other two kiddos went to get their eyes checked in the evening. Keera’s prescription changed, and she picked out a new pair of glasses. Kennedy’s getting a new pair of glasses for screen time. She picked out a purple/ rainbow pair with a funky frame shape.

We had Dairy Queen for dessert.

• Keera and I had orthodontist appointments this morning.

Our long awaited Uno add-on packs finally got delivered. 🥳

The doodles had to go to the vet for their yearly vaccines this afternoon. They did great, and according to the vet their weight is healthy and they are good health wise.

We made a stop to S bucks and got everyone a drink. This new summer flavour is out, it’s delicious!

Tomorrow’s another day of appointments. 🙃

Tupperware isn’t just for food. Using a Stow ‘N Go Container for our Pay Day game. It’s great for keeping the money in place, then easy to clean up storing everything in one spot.

March 23rd in pictures;

This morning started off bright and early at 7am. ⏰ 🌞 I’m not a breakfast type of person, but on plasma donation days I always try to eat something healthy before we go.

Eggs in under 2 minutes with some deli ham, don’t forget the toast to dip them in (if that’s what your into.) 🥚

Oh and of course hydration in the form of H2O 💦

Plasma typically goes really well, I’m told I’ve got good veins. Today I had someone that’s know to have issues with others. I decided I’d give her a chance.

I noticed my donation was going slow, then my machine started beeping. I felt the “sweats” and nausea. A person that regularly does my ne3dle came to check on me, she said “you usually got great veins, what’s the problem?.”

Turns out the person pushed the ne3dle in too far, so she corrected it then I was able to finish my plasma donation without any issues.

Afterwards we went to Costco. I grabbed some more groceries and milk, and some dog toys. We had a slice of Costco pepperoni pizza before we left.

Once I got home I noticed some of our yogurt is going to expire soon, so Kennedy and I made some yogurt layered popsicles. I made some chocolate yogurt “donuts.” Trying not to waste food.

Of course Lego Fortnite has been my go to to unwind other than reading. It’s fun to be able to build stuff, be creative and follow/complete quests. We played a couple Battle Royal games too.

Supper was carbs and carbs with some raw carrots. It’s always good to have some balance.

We ended off the night with hot chocolate and watching some of The Mask (1994.)

Unfortunately we turned it off just before it got halfway, to go to sleep because everyone’s exhausted. 😴

The dogs love looking out the window, but Flash was downstairs at the time.

I also knew trying to get them both looking out the window with me, at the same time would be difficult. Especially if I wanted a good image. 🤪

So it was Shadow and I. My phone timer was set to 10 seconds. As soon as I pressed the timer, I called Shadow up on the windowsilI. About 5 seconds in, I heard dog running steps behind me at full speed.

Just as Flash jumped up on the window the picture snapped. 🥹🤣❤️

Monday March 18th in pictures:

National Sloppy Joe Day! We made Sloppy Joe’s for the first time. They are pretty good, I added a cheese slice to mine and melted it. 🍔

I grabbed some candies from Dollarama, and a new loofa from Shoppers when I went to grab one of the kiddos meds.

The BIGS had gone out to grab snacks earlier in the day and slurpees. So we had some treats as a night snack. Sour worms, gummie bears, and gummy coca-Cola bottles.

We finished off the night with sparklers. I’ve had these sitting in a box a few years and I found them again while decluttering.

I forgot how magical they are. ✨

Sunday March 17th in pictures;

We went and did groceries, I grabbed some paper towel/toilet paper, then actual food items and treats for the kids.

We had lasagna for supper, it’s been a while and these Zinetti lasagnas from Costco are delicious! Pre-portioned too.

In new news I finally joined the gamers. I made myself a Fortnite account on Saturday night. I got some hands on experience playing with other players.

Zaden has a Fortnite Lego world and before joining his I made my own. Playing is definitely a learning curve though (I’m playing on a Mac using Luna on Chrome browser because I have Prime) 🤣 it’s working though.
