Every season of the Pan Afrikan Poets Cafe has a theme. Season 4’s theme is “Experimental & Unplugged”.

I’m commissioning performance artists who embody a strong stage presence, great breath control, awesome vocal awareness and a sense of playfulness to improvise a new spoken word performance work - in the moment but out of their three favourite poems.

This is a season to witness experienced performers experiment and play with their audience.

This is a season to witness how a curator-artist-performer experiments with sharing power (collaborating) with the creative.

This is a season of immersive storytelling - no stage and no mics, season four is “Experimental & Unplugged”.

I’ll hop on IG live , this Sunday to share more about the curatorial vision behind Season 4.

And yes, tickets on sale this week.
