That feeling when you find a pretty dress that has breastfeeding access 🤱

I sometimes get stressed thinking about what to wear, especially at family gatherings where there’s a specific color for the dress code. Of course, I’m torn between wanting to wear a nice dress and wanting something easy for breastfeeding. It’s always a dilemma, right, breastfeeding moms?

But last night, I hit two birds with one stone when I found this thrifted dress for only ₱149. 😍 It had zippers for breastfeeding access. It was perfect for the occasion and for my role as a breastfeeding mom. Yes, I still breastfeed my youngest child, who is now 1 year and 4 months old. 😅

This experience is a reminder of the small victories that make a big difference in our lives as moms. As we celebrate Breastfeeding Awareness Month, let’s acknowledge the challenges we face and the strength it takes to overcome them. From finding the right clothing to making sure our babies are fed and cared for, we manage so much every day.

Here’s to all the breastfeeding moms out there—balancing it all with grace, determination, and style. 💖

This award came at a time when I was about to give up. A month ago, I told a few trusted people—Fatima, Fred, and Doc Rovic—that I had plans to retire from being a digital creator.

I was discouraged by the slow growth of my brand. The number of followers wasn’t increasing enough. My content didn’t go viral. There were many lost connections and opportunities, and there was hate, not from the public, but from people we knew.

Frustration consumed me. It humbled me to the point where I had already set timelines for when and how to retire from being a social media producer. I was ready.

But last night, this recognition said otherwise.

When my name was announced, the first thing that came to mind was a line from my favorite song by BINI: “Huwag mag-alala, buhay ay 'di karera.”

The doubt and confusion transformed into a glimmer of hope as I walked towards the stage to receive the award. My hands were cold and shaking, but I knew it was a silver lining moment.

I trust that this is a message from God to keep the faith and compassion in showing up and producing content.

I find comfort in the way He refined this moment when I was about to throw in the towel.

Thank you to those who continue believing in me, even on the days when I became irrelevant to your newsfeed!

I said YES to… 💍

breastfeeding!

I celebrate motherhood every day with this piece of jewelry made using my breastmilk.

This keepsake holds sentimental value for me, not only to preserve the memory of my breastfeeding journey with my two children but also as a reminder that I am stronger than my ego.

I have betrayed myself many times trying to quit breastfeeding, especially with my youngest child, Xyler. Even when he was still in my womb, I gave myself an ultimatum that I would only breastfeed him until he was 6 months old.

I was so firm in my decision that I even consulted my husband about it, and he agreed.

It was my ego speaking. It was my selfish self, trying to stop this unconditional love for my baby boy, whom I had prayed to God for in the first place.

Maayo na lang nagpakalig-on ko bisa’g kapoy. Now, we’re still breastfeeding after 1 year and 1 month. Makaabot kaha ko hangtod 3 years sama sa breastfeeding journey namo sa akong firstborn nga si Yanna? 😅

This 18-karat gold breastmilk ring, which I ordered from The Dujour Jewellery, symbolizes the deep emotional and physical bond formed during those special times in my life.

What’s even more memorable is that the milk I used for this jewelry is the last 1 ounce of stash I had in our freezer. I stopped pumping last year because I have more time to direct latch.

To moms who think they’re not good enough at breastfeeding, it’s never too late to start again. If you were like me, having doubts or even plans of stopping, constantly remind yourself that this is just a phase and it will pass. Your child will not forever be dependent on your breastmilk, but they will always carry the antibodies and love you give them. 💖
