The majority of passengers aboard a flight from Italy to India tested positive for COVID–19 when the plane landed yesterday — despite many receiving negative test results just before the plane took off.
The director of #Amritsar airport, VK Seth, confirmed that 125 of 179 passengers on board tested positive for the virus when the plane landed about 1:30 p.m.
All the adult passengers were tested after they arrived in Amritsar in #Punjab because Italy is considered one of the high-risk countries for the fast-spreading #Omicron variant.

I truly appreciate what Sandra Bullock is saying here and I admire her love for her son. However, I need my celeb friends who know sis to let her know that the “people are scared” narrative “can be” extremely dangerous to young Black men.
I saw this post last night on the great @violadavis page and I sat with it all night. I hate always being “the one” to pick up on nuance when someone/thing is being celebrated. But it is precisely because so many are posting and lifting this clip that I felt the need to highlight the problem.
MOST people are not scared, they are bias and RACIST towards Black people. The fear (if any) is associated with Black men being demonized - which leads back to racism. Sure we have to teach our boys how to protect themselves, but we also need to protect their mental health. Saying that people are scared gives too much grace to people who are full of hate. It provides a level of understanding for why they may cause harm to Black folks.
Again, I appreciate Ms. Bullock’s intention here. Just thinking a better way to talk to our babies is to let them know that while some may be scared, even that is rooted in racism and hate. That for me will place the blame solely at the feet of those who are culprits and shift the pressure away from Black folks.
In other words white folks:
talk to YOUR PEOPLE much more than you talk to your Black son. That’s using your influence and providing ultimate protection.

61-year-old Richard Lee Richards was suspected of shoplifting from a Walmart in Arizona.
A lost prevention officer reported to police that Richards pulled a knife when he was asked for a receipt in the parking lot.

Important for moms and their daughters ✨ @theperioddoctor : Nothing annoys me more than the predatorial marketing that tells us that vaginas are supposed to smell like exotic fruits or bouquets of flowers. A close second is when someone on social media tries to mansplain that the vagina should smell like water. 🙄
These are equally absurd claims made to manipulate people into either buying things they don’t need or believing there’s a problem where there isn’t one.
The idea that the vagina is supposed to have some pleasant fragrance is incredibly unrealistic, as the vagina is an orifice on the human body and all orifices have some type of smell.
The goal is to understand what YOUR unique normal is so that you can identify if that changes. A change in smell or development of an odor may be a sign of an issue or infection and warrants further evaluation.
