Picture Story of East Palpa

Embark on an adventure with us as we follow the sacred path of the Kaligandaki River, tracing the Kaligandaki corridor highway from Sunauli border to the Korala China border. Though we only covered a small portion of this route, it was brimming with wonders waiting to be explored. Our journey began in Tansen and concluded in East Palpa, Rampur, where we delved into the myriad attractions over two memorable days.

In the first picture, two Nepali schoolchildren dash through the lush green paddy fields on their way to school, a scene framed by the newly constructed Kaligandaki corridor highway.

The second picture captures the holy and forceful flow of the Kaligandaki River, a sight to behold.

In the third picture, a traditional Nepali vehicle, often seen in the hilly regions of Nepal, crosses the bridge over the Kaligandaki River.

The fourth picture showcases Rampur, a valley swiftly developing into the second municipality of the Palpa district.

Pictures five and six transport us to Mityal, an underrated village in East Palpa. Here, we marvel at the unique round houses, a rare sight that speaks to the village's rich history.

The seventh and eighth pictures showcase Kauley Dada, where verdant hills offer breathtaking views of mountains, Terai plains, and rolling hills.
