The challenges that women with fistula face, shared by Bwalya Magawa Chomba is the Program Director for Zambia at @fistula_foundation
Obstetric fistula is a horrible childbirth injury often due to prolonged obstructed labor. It leaves women and girls incontinent, and far too often suffering in isolation, without knowledge of treatment.
Obstetric fistula can be cured by a simple surgery, which is why Fistula Foundation is an important organization to make sure that fistula is cured and prevented.
They also ensure that women and girls are rehabilitated after living with the disabling child-birth injury.
