These words sung by the late and legendary will forever speak to my soul. For all the amazing souls who continue to rock with me on this page, I want to tell you about a little bit of me and why this song means so much.
I'll start here... Hey, my name is Jennifer! But, you can call me J! I am the founder and CEO of ! I was born with Cerebral Palsy (28 weeks premature), and throughout my journey, music has been the driving force that keeps me going when I want to give up.
Music lifted me up, encouraged my heart, and reassured me that I definitely can make it through. All I gotta do is continue to hold on to my faith, believe God is preparing me for greater, and never give up! Even on those tough days, find the strength to carry forward.
So when... Whitney sings these powerful lyrics, she reminds me that I am capable of achieving my goals no matter the circumstances. During those times when it gets hard, God will be right there, holding me up every single day. He will never let me fall. NEVER EVER. I wasn't built to break, and neither are you!! You have the ability to do what God placed in your heart.
God didn't built us to break, He created us to believe!! Believe that through His guidance and love, we can do all things. I'm trusting that I can and I will – and I know you can too! Happy and , Creatives!

Yesterday was ! A few years ago, after meeting , he said these words that have stayed with me until this very day.
"Her wheelchair is her throne." I loved his perspective because it reminded me of why it is always so important to find the good or "silver lining" in every situation that comes our way.
Not only that, but to trust GOD and hold onto His hand throughout the process.
We might not always understand or see the beauty of GODs plan, but once He finally shows the whole picture, we start to realize the true meaning of why He placed us where He did.
I am grateful for every single part of my journey—the good, the lessons, the tough, and the not so great moments because they have all played a significant role in helping me become who GOD created me to be!

As a woman living with Cerebral Palsy, I've learned to view my challenges in a positive light. I feel like it's God's way of pushing me to the next level because He knows I am strong enough to handle it.
Each time I encounter an obstacle, I am evolving into the woman God wants me to be. I'm grateful for all the ups and downs because those moments proved that I can achieve. I am capable of turning my dreams into reality.
My disability will not hold me back. As long as I keep God first, believe in myself, and continue to work hard, and fulfill my purpose, I know that I will accomplish my goals. Most of all, I am resilient.

5 years ago this week, I competed for the title of Ms. Wheelchair Illinois 2018! I always wanted to do a pageant, but I never knew that there was one specifically for wheelchair users. So, once I found out that it actually existed, I took a leap of faith and decided to go for it.
Although, I was nervous and didn't know what to expect, I entered the pageant for a couple of reasons.
1️⃣ I wanted to let others know that you can achieve whatever goals you choose to pursue.
2️⃣ I wanted to remind others that your disability has no limitations and it does not define who you are.
3️⃣ I wanted to share my story in hopes of encouraging and motivating others to keep going and never give up on themselves.
I even met a group of wonderful, strong ladies who embrace me with such warmth. In fact, we all supported each other every step of the way and I'm so grateful for that.
I was the RUNNER-UP in the competition! I'm super proud of myself and what I accomplished. It made me stronger and helped me understand who I am and my profound purpose.
Here's what I learned from the experience—it is more than wearing a beautiful crown, it is about using your voice to make a difference and helping others reach success.

September 30th is Neonatal Intensive Care Awareness Day • To celebrate, I wanted you to share a few facts about my journey in hopes of giving you a little encouragement to start your weekend!
1️⃣ Hi, I'm Jennifer. I have Cerebral Palsy and was born at 28 weeks.
2️⃣ Doctors weren't confident that I'd be able to do anything for myself.
3️⃣ As time passed, I grew stronger and was eventually released from the hospital.
4️⃣ I've had meltdowns, and endured many years of physical and occupational therapy.
5️⃣ I always felt like God's unconditionally love and words of encouragement often gave me strength.
6️⃣ God placed people in my life to help me grow and to remind me of what I am capable of accomplishing.
7️⃣ I have my Master's in English (one of the greatest highlights of my life!
8️⃣ I am the founder of JMotivates, which was birthed out of my love for music and my desire for wanting to motivate others to follow their dreams.
9️⃣ I wrote a BOOK 📚 which I can't wait to share with you!!
🔟 I smile because God didn't have to bring me this far, but yet He saw fit to give me a chance. I'm so grateful and I know that God has an enormous plan for my life.

Y'all, let's introduce you to Leah! We started following her journey a couple months ago—and there's something that made us gravitate toward her story. Maybe it was how Leah authentically opened up about her constant struggles or how she wasn't afraid to speak up for herself. Either way, Leah was forever etched on our hearts!
Leah is a CEO and founder of , future therapist, grad school student, a SCD, Lupus, Crohns survivor, chronic illness survivor, thriver + warrior, disability advocate–influencer, and a fierce fighter who is continues to write the chapter of her story 👏🏽 She's doing on her own terms.
Although Leah's in palliative care—we see so much passion, determination, and power behind her eyes. Leah accepts her reality, knows what her heart desires and just LIVES everyday in gratefulness!

August is and we created a little mini series where we celebrate, highlight, and shine a light on some of our favorite Creatives who put a smile on our face! Today's feature goes to Dr. !
We were scrolling through early Friday morning last week when we came across a video of Deshauna speaking via Goalcast! (We'll post the video in our stories so that you can be empowered by Deshauna's words too, Creatives! 🙌🏽💜)
We saw the video on social media many times before, BUT this time her words hit us differently! There was just something about how spoke about her journey to becoming Miss USA 2016!
Deshauna competed for the title 6x until she won the crown! Was it easy road, nope! Yet, Deshauna continued to push forward + persevere to achieve her dreams! She gave it all and never gave up!
Yesssss 👏🏽 Deshauna inspired us once again to keep going, keep the faith, and keep believing in ourselves! As we continue to navigate through our journey with and strive to make a difference in the lives of others, we're forever grateful to Deshauna for encouraging our hearts! We also loved that she took that BIG leap of faith and found her purpose!
Btw, Deshauna continues to inspire the world through philanthropy, speaking, mentoring, etc and we just enjoy seeing her SHINE so bright and soar! We'll always celebrate her here at JM!!

While we're questioning if we've got what it takes and asking GOD if He's sure that we're the right person to for the course.
