We got the chance to see the first four episodes of early and there’s a lot to get excited about. By telling a story set during the high republic, the series doesn’t have to worry about juggling any Skywalkers, Palpatines, or any other familiar characters.

We also have high praise for Lee Jung-jae in his debut English performance as Jedi Master Sol, a Jedi in the vein of Qui-Gon Jinn. I think he’ll quickly become a fan favorite.

The story also feels refreshingly different for Star Wars as it focuses on a murder mystery. You don’t have to have any previous Star Wars knowledge to dive into this show and it doesn’t seem pressured to deliver any fan service or Easter eggs every episode.

Look for our full review later in the season, we are just sharing our initial impressions across our social media accounts. Now the long wait for episode 5 begins…
