#BREAKINGNEWS: JONES COUNTY REFUSES TO LET ANY RESIDENTS VOTE POSSIBLY VIOLATING FEDERAL & STATE VOTING LAWS. Voting begin State-Wide Monday with Absentee Ballots, according to state statute 45 days prior to the general election. The military receive their ballots Saturday according to state officials.
However, in Jones County, according to court officials, the Republican Executive Committee met yesterday to remove David Lyons from the ballot, missing the statutory deadline.
David Lyons is running against Marian Allen, who if she wins, will become the first African American Judge in the history of Jones County. Currently there is no African American representation in any part of Jones County or The City of Laurel legal system, not even a black lawyer lives in the county.
According to legal experts, David Lyons, who resigned over the weekend, name should remain of the ballot and the Republican Party new nominee name can only be “WROTE IN” & not added to the ballot.
However, Jones County is refusing to allow residents to vote until a new ballot is printed without David Lyons name and replaced with the new republican nominee, who doesn’t even in the district that he’s running in. According to sources, he lives in Ellisville, MS, not Laurel, MS.

#Sports (Watch Video) Oak Grove vs MRA (Madison-Ridgeland Academy) was definitely the most exciting game in the entire state. Going into half time the score was 24-24. End of the 3rd the score was 31-31. End of the 4th quarter the score was 38-38. End of overtime the score was suppose to be 45-45, but MRA decided to go for it all, going for a 2 point conversation to win the game instead of kicking the field gold to tie the game. #2 Ranked Oak Grove wasn’t going. So the final, Oak Grove 45 - MRA 44. Oak Grove wins in overtime by 1-point.
