Unusual Events in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on Primary Day! 🗳️🇺🇸⚓️

We have received reports of some odd incidents in Pawtucket. On Primary Day, our team spotted something concerning at the Portuguese Social Way voting area. Despite signs indicating the street was closed, it remained open. Additionally, two individuals with backpacks were observed filling out forms just before entering the voting area. These individuals were later seen leaving in a car with Illinois license plates and have been parked there for over an hour.

A Pawtucket mother and her boyfriend are facing serious charges after her 2-year-old child tested positive for exposure to fentanyl, co***ne, and xylazine. The toddler was reportedly unresponsive and not breathing when emergency units arrived at their apartment on Prospect Street. The pair will be arraigned on Wednesday and charged with child endangerment and numerous drug offenses. The child was rushed to Hasbro Children Hospital. Thankfully, the child has recovered from the exposure. What's going on in Pawtucket

Thursday, Pawtucket Police released photos of the 15 people arrested in a drug sting.

“The Pawtucket Police Department’s Narcotics Unit along with the Community Policing Unit (CPU) culminated a narcotics investigation after receiving numerous complaints from local business owners and residents in the areas of Broad Street and Montgomery Street in the City of Pawtucket. Several of the complaints involved the use and sale of narcotics in front of the businesses, residences, and of individuals harassing customers and local residents.

During the investigation, members of the Pawtucket Police Narcotics Unit conducted several controlled purchases of narcotics from several individuals in the areas of Broad Street and Montgomery Street to also include a residence identified as #47 Montgomery Street in the City of Pawtucket. Several arrest warrants were obtained for individuals who had been identified as local street level narcotics dealers. A search warrant was also obtained for #47 Montgomery Street.

On September 28, 2022, members of the Pawtucket Police Narcotics Unit along with members of the Pawtucket Police K9 Unit, and members of the Community Policing Unit executed a court ordered search warrant at #47 Montgomery Street. Inside both apartments, members of the Narcotics Unit located and seized several packaged bags containing suspected crack co***ne, fentanyl, and numerous drug paraphernalia used in the packaging and sale of street level narcotics. Several individuals were also located inside of the residence.

As a result of the investigation, the following individuals were arrested and charged with the following charges. More charges could be pending:

An investigation is underway after a man was shot in the leg early Tuesday morning in Pawtucket.

The man in his 50s was shot around 6:15 a.m. on Rhodes Street.
