Stopped by Dorothy Cox's Chocolate Factory of Fall River to check out the retail store side of the chocolate factory and my goodness does it smell like heaven in here today! They have a massive assortment of chocolate, fudge, all sorts of treats that would make perfect stocking stuffers and gifts! They are located at 100 Griffin Street in Fall River and they are open six days a week, 9 AM to 6 PM Monday to Friday at 10 AM to 6 PM on Saturday. Shop local; support local small businesses and support a business that moved its entire operation right here to Fall River! The wait is over! The areas first Krispy Krunchy Chicken has opened in New Bedford. It’s located inside Gas Xpress, 52 Tarkiln hill Road. We tried it last year Boston and it was really quite good; I would put their chicken up against any chain. Excellent tenders and enormous potato wedges. If you missed the KFC potato wedges, these blow them out of the water. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous.

The Krispy Krunchy, side of the business is open 11 AM until 8 PM Sunday through Thursday, and until 10 PM on Friday and Saturday. Tomorrow they are having their official grand opening so come in and say hello and try something new for lunch or dinner.

"The Dartmouth Youth Football League Tiny Mite cheerleading team is on a winning streak: it won first place in the Tiny Mites small category at the Rhode Island Southeastern Massachusetts Pop Warner competition in October, where it also secured the Grand Champion Tiny Mite title, meaning they scored higher than all Tiny Mite team categories.

The team consists of nine cheerleaders between the ages of six and eight. Yesterday we visited The Cove Restaurant located at 392 Davol St. in Fall River. They recently updated the menu so we wanted to check it out and we were not disappointed! The restaurant is always very tastefully decorated, but with the Christmas season in full swing the ambience was very welcoming.

We started our meal with some duck potstickers, which were extremely tasty, and we also wanted to try the supplis (fried risotto)very delicious. For our meals we decided on the surf and turf (medallions of filet mignon & shrimp over butternut squash and asparagus) and short ribs over sweet potato gnocchi. Presentation on everything was superb and the flavors were up to par! I also tried one of their signature cocktails.

On Sunday they have a delightful dinner for two menu that starts at 3 o’clock and runs until 8 PM. You’ll find a nice assortment of gluten-free items on the menu as well. We did not have room for dessert, but they do have an impressive assortment of treats if you’re craving something sweet. Be sure to check out their full menu on the website:
