🎄 Wishing everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a very happy, healthy New Year. 🎄

Thank you so much for all your support this year and following along on our adventures with us. It means so much to us and we can’t wait to see what 2025 brings.

As it’s Christmas Day tomorrow, we won’t be releasing the next Japan vlog but keep an eye on the channel over between Christmas & New Year for the next one.

The next stop on our Japan adventure was the beautiful Kyoto. We honestly didn’t know what to expect but we’ve definitely fallen in love with this city.

With modern shopping areas combined with traditional Japanese streets, we’ve had the most wonderful few days exploring. We visited Ninenzaka, streets lined with traditional Japanese buildings including a Starbucks where you can sit on Tatami Mats and enjoy your matcha latte.

We also visited the Bamboo Forest, the Fushimi Inari Shrine and Torii gates and took in views from the top of Kyoto Tower. We also enjoyed a train ride out to Nara where we saw and fed plenty of free-roaming deer.

It’s definitely been one of our favourite places to visit so far. So much to do, do little time. Kyoto, we’ll be back soon!

Next stop on our Japan adventure: beautiful Kyoto! We didn’t know what to expect but quickly fell in love with this city. Stayed at the Granvia Kyoto, right inside the station – so convenient for exploring!

Kyoto is the perfect mix of modern shopping and traditional streets. We wandered through Ninenzaka, where you can sip a matcha latte on Tatami mats at a Starbucks in a traditional building.

We also explored the Bamboo Forest, the stunning Fushimi Inari Shrine & Torii gates, and caught breathtaking views from Kyoto Tower. Plus, took a quick trip to Nara to feed the free-roaming deer!

One of our fave stops so far, Kyoto – we’ll definitely be back!

We spent 3 amazing days in Osaka, staying at the Cross Hotel! 🎌✨

We started off with our first Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios on night one— the street scare actors were amazing, and the nighttime atmosphere was exactly as we imagined.⚡️👻 The Resident Evil live show was a huge highlight and wish we’d had the time to watch it again.

Day two was a full day at Universal Studios, and we had a fantastic day! We decided to but Express Pass 7 in advance which got us into Super Nintendo World 🎮. It was so well-themed, and Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge was a lot of fun! We ended up staying late to experience Horror Nights one last time. We had such a wonderful day! 🎢

On our final day, we explored Dotonbori, did some shopping, and got custom-made rings at Glanta. 💍✨ There was so much to see and do that we couldn’t fit it all in, but it just gives us a reason to come back. We can’t wait to return!

We spent two unforgettable days at a beautiful Ryokan, Konansou, by Lake Kawaguchiko! 🌿🏞️ The views of Mount Fuji were breathtaking, and we were so lucky to have been given a room overlooking the area with a private open-air bath 😍🗻 We climbed all 398 steps to the Chureito Pagoda and took the cable car up the Fuji Panoramic Ropeway for even more stunning views! There was so much to do we could have easily stayed for another few days. Our stay was made extra special by Etsuko, our room clerk, who served us traditional Japanese meals to us in our room and gave us some ideas of things to do in the area. She was honestly amazing and nothing was too much trouble. 🍱✨ We spent our last evening enjoying a relaxing and peaceful soak in the private onsen. We had such an incredible time.
Next stop: Osaka and Universal Studios! 🎢🎉

Tokyo, you’ve been everything we hoped for and more! The city is so full of life, and we had the best time exploring it all. Now, we’re off to Lake Kawaguchiko for a couple of nights to relax and enjoy some quiet by the lake. Can’t wait to see Mt. Fuji in the distance and just take it easy for a bit. 🌸
