Deep within the bowels of New Zealand an eldritch entity has slumbered dormant...until now. Ifrit have grudgingly awoken, vengeful and seething with cosmic malevolence, their fearsome talents bent solely towards the destruction of humanity via ravaging occult death metal. The entity known as Ifrit was formed within the alchemical essences of a number of other groups such as Nystagmus & Ardens Rejectio. 

In four tracks fuelled with alchemical flame, with Haunting Charnel Grounds Ifrit seek only unholy conflagration and to inflict suffering through eternal fire.

BRILLIANT EMPEROR TURNS FIVE!

I started this label back in 2019 as a way to give my own band a home to release and promote records. That quickly turned into an amazing community where other Australian artists could release their music. Running a label is a fascinating process. It is a source of creative fulfilment not only for myself but for many others, and to share that space with bands that are not my own makes me feel very honoured. At the same time this thing is a beast, hard to tame, hard to keep focused. At times it can consume you. Nevertheless, I feel very privileged to still be here marking the first five years of the label. Thanks to all the artists, bands, fans, supporters, venues, friends and family who helped to create this thing. I will do my best to keep it going for all of us - Pete

To celebrate we have commissioned the mighty Thulsa Doom (Dave Long) to create a new logo (based on the original) that will serve as the seal of the Emperor for the next five years. We also have some merch offerings to support this milestone.
