The Dry River, Crybaby Press' literary magazine focused on Los Angeles' physical and cultural landscape, is now a sponsored project of our new fiscal sponsor, Creative Visions, a global nonprofit that sparks awareness and ignites change through impact media, the arts, education and technology.

We just launched our first online fundraiser to raise money for our second and third issue!

All donations made through this fundraiser are tax-deductible and help us pay our creative contributors, compensating our editorial staff, and printing with a sustainable LA-based printer.

Please consider donating or sharing, anything helps! Thank you so much!

Crybaby Zine put together an on-going Google Sheet of amazing organizations to utilize, volunteer for, and/or donate to! Check it out and please contact me if there are an organizations I should add! This is not meant to be complete, rather, we hope the Crybaby community helps us expand on it over time.

We're going to keep it accessible as a Google Sheet always, but will eventually use it for articles/posts to remind people to support these organizations.

A big thing we want to highlight with this project is that these organizations and bail out funds needed funding before this and they will need it after mainstream media stops covering this as well.

What is this? This is Crybaby Zine's on-going spreadsheet of US-based resources. Here you will find bail out funds, community organizations, medical aid groups, food banks, mental health resources, and more. These resources range in mission/focus (ie. prison reform, workers' rights, womxns' righ...

As part of her series on her favorite Indigenous artists and activists, Zoe Yu Gilligan was fortunate enough to share space with Denver-based Mexica artist and activist Josie Valadez Fraire in a downtown Manhattan cafe. They chatted about immigranthood versus indigeneity, fascism as an American export, healing trauma, gentrification since 1492, and the seemingly inextricable natures of modern sexuality and Instagram, and how they both intersect in her own life.
