Saturday Afternoon Weather Alert Update
A line of strong to severe storms remains possible overnight and into early Sunday Morning. An approximated timing of 1amET to 6amET west to east across our viewing area.
The Storm Prediction Center has narrowed the Level 2 "Slight Risk" zone to mainly west of Chattanooga for the western 1/3 of our viewing area. Level 1 "Marginal Risk" for Chattanooga and immediate areas north and south. Main threat being damaging wind gusts with some storms. The saturated ground could allow these gusts to more easily bring down trees. A lower tornado threat, but not zero (2% Chattanooga....5% west of the city)

COUNTIES THROUGH 945 PM CST...

At 852 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles east of Spencer to 12 miles north of
Gruetli-Laager. Movement was east at 35 mph.
