An unknown fact about me is that I’m a direct descendant of the founder of the Hasidic movement (Rabbi Haba’al Shem Tov). Though I was raised completely secular I always felt a calling to explore what is inherently a deep part of my heritage.

Delving into Jewish - Hasidic music felt like discovering a treasure, reach with culture, communion and mysticism.
The recordings of this series of packs span from London to Jerusalem and we’re extremely fortunate to welcome the incredible musicians who joined us on this ride, with great joy and generosity:

Years ago, on one of my early tours as a DJ, I was welcomed for the first time at Triana, the Gypsy quarter of Seville, Spain. The birthplace of Flamenco. I immediately fell in love with the people, tastes, sounds, and vibe that resonated from every part of this small neighborhood. Walking its streets, It was as if music echoed from every wall. I understood that Flamenco is much more than music, it’s a lifestyle!

This pack concludes our journey in Cordoba, Andalusia, and is the most comprehensive one yet, hosting 8 of the most incredible Flamenco musicians in the world.

Flamenco has changed my relationship to music.

Many ears ago, when I was still a psy-trance DJ, I was on tour in Portugal and ended up closing my journey visiting a dear brother in Sevilla, south of Spain. I got to spend the week in the small quarter of Triana, the small Gypsy quarter and one of the birth places of Flamenco, immersed with the gypsy musical masters, I soon discovered that Flamenco was much more than music it was a way of life!, and I fell completely fell in love with it.

Fast forward to about six months ago, I finally found the opportunity to capture the magic of Flamenco on tape. I started asking around and it turned out that some of best musicians in the world, are currently struggling as Spain was severely hit by Covid, and are literally stock in their home town, with no ability to travel and preform.   We went on a cross-Atlantic operation, connecting LA, Tel-Aviv and Grenada Spain, and brought together eight of the best Flamenco musicians into the studio. Recording over 70! hours of studio time of pure Flamenco music.

Muses: Eastern Soul by Lital Gabai is out!

On the muses series, we focus on amplifying inspirational Feminine voices from around the world.

Born to a Persian heritage, Lital knew she wanted to sing from a very early age. “At home, we heard lots of Persian music, my parents migrated from Iran, my Grandfather was a cantor at synagog (a synagogue official who sings or chants liturgical music and leads the congregation in prayer), I’ve learned Jazz, sing in many styles, though my heart always goes back to Persia”

I loved connecting with Lital Gabai over this recording and am thrilled for the world’s producers to meet with her unique voice.
